hi everyone, i am fairly new to the boards so i hope i can get some good imput. i have the original die cutter from sizzix. i had to replace the cutting pads just recently and they are not a thick enough pad even though i called the company and they actually sent me out a new set from there directly. i had already told them that i had purchased the set already from michaels craft store and that they are not any good. they are trying to get me to send them my die cutter itself but i told them that that heavy machine will cost me at least 15 dollars just to ship to them which i think they should have said they would send me a pre paid shipping label to ship them back this machine that i feel really didn't get much use. i really feel like i got the sc  !!! put to me on this. i was a scrapper that just bought a lot of things that i thought were cute and didn't get much use out of ya know. well i live in new jersey so if anyone has anything to say about this i would appreciate your input on what i should do or what would you do?  thanks so much!! tra

 I would try a shim, you know putting a piece of thick paper or cardboard under the cutting mat, to make it a bit higher.

 HEY! I am in South Jersey and I have the origina sizzix too.  I flipd my pad oer and till use that on but also ordered an extra from sixxix   online, yt have not used it.  Yeah, you are kinda getting hosed by them.  Those pads are only $10 they should just send you one caueit would be cheaper than you shipping your machine to them!  Other than that, how do you like the sizzix?  How long have you beeh scrapping and do yo do paper, igi or both?

 hey there beach lover, my family and i are beach lovers too i have to say. we are leaving july 12 for the week to head to ocean beach unit 1. can't wait. i have to say that i am disappointed in this machine because of the cutting boards and i will not pay to ship back that heay piece. i have to tell you that i did not think about putting a thicker piece of card stock under it either. i will try that. i am just disappointed that they didn't make the offer to pay for me to ship this back to them ya know. thanks for your input.

 thats a shame!  I love my sizzix, and hate that I cannot find any more original dies for it, I have fun serif letters and a few other pieces like hearts, fish, trees, a house, flowers, but I really wish I had a second type of letters to chose from.

 hey beach lover, i am not always on this site but i just wanted to say that i have liked the sizzix but i just haven't cared for the new pad that just isn't as tight fitting as the original. tray
