Just wondering if you make the same cookies each year, or mix it up a little. If you answer this poll, can you then tell me what cookies you have to have each year? Thanks!
I can't break tradition!!! I do add a new one every once in awhile, but sometimes they get into the traditional category, or dumped for the next year..Gingerbread, sugar cookies, peanut butter balls, Cuban lunch, fudge, shortbread...
I bake the same basic cookies every year (Chocolate Chip, Frosted Sugar, Peanut Butter, Cream Cheese, Rice Krispie Treats, Peppermint Creams, Pineapple Coconut, Oatmeal and Buckeyes). But, I always try a new cookie each year. If every one likes it, I add it to the list. This year it will be Bonbon Cookies!
Bake? What's that?Seriously though...I just got into cooking within the past year. Maybe I'll try my hand at a little baking this holiday season. I'm skeered!

I do the traditional for us: choc chip, peanut butter, sugar, snickerdooles, cherry squares, polvorones & buenulos. The last two are Mexican treats. And like most every year I try one new receipe.

I like to try new things but generally I make the same core recipes each year.Everyone should share in the recipe forum!
I always make Peppermint Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie Bars, Magic Cookie Bars, 7-Layer Bars, Mint Snow-Top Cookies, Danish Nut Balls, Cranberry Macadamia White Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Keebler Bars, and No-Bakes. I add others if I want to try them.
I like to mix it up in addition to making the basics. But I ALWAYS make frosted sugar cookies, chocolate chip, and pumkin bread.

I usually do my holiday baking together with my mom and Reba. We always make sour cream cookies. Then the usual . . . chocolate chip, peanut butter and whatever strikes our fancy at the time.
I make the same sugar cookies every year.

I always make frosted sugar cookies (dh's fav), krumkake (my brother's fav), rosettes and Mexican Wedding cakes; then, if I still feel like baking, I make whatever - choc. chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin (my fav)
I love baking during the Christmas season - it was a family thing in which all of us (parents and 6 kids) participated. So my favorites that always get put into the list are my dad's fudge, my oatmeal cookies, and pralines. But then each year I add new things.I'm hoping my husband gets more into this tradition. His family doesn't have any Christmas traditions - they are so boring!!
I make the same:forgotten cookies, bannana cherry slice, confetti cake , shortbread...............then I add a new one or two!Speaking of this got to get started!
