...baby Jesus has yet to lay in the manger...my ds keeps giving him a ride in the dump truck. THAT struck me sooooo funny!Count me in the group that says you go to bed with tree with nothing underneath on Christmas eve and in the morning all the gifts are there.
Since my kids are still young - 5 and 3 and the youngest is sneaky and can't be trusted - all gifts are hidden until Christmas Eve. The unwrapped one is from Santa :)Last year she unwrapped almost everything under the tree in the middle of the night!Jenna
The present's for my kids don't go under the tree until Christmas Eve. I wrap them and hide them in a huge hope chest. They each have a "big" present from Santa that's unwrapped.
Let's see... the presents that actually make it to Christmas Eve get wrapped and placed under the tree that night and any subsequent presents are placed after everyone's gone to bed. A lot of times, I've picked something up early and given it to them BEFORE Christmas.... mostly my son who absolutely HAS to have that specific skateboard to get to school... yea, right! Or... he promises it's the ONLY thing he wants! So, big ticket items may have already been given out and then what I want them to have is added later..... I know... they're spoiled...
AsI wrap, they go under the tree except for the kids Santa gifts. They get put under the tree on the 24th night after the kids go to bed.
We put some under the tree, the ones family send, the ones the kids buy for each other and for us...then Christmas Eve I bring down the kids stash and sometimes a cool something I have been hiding from the hubby...Santa does not wrap gifts at our house he likes them to be sat out under the tree... he does like nice big bows and pretty tags though. Just out of curiousity does Santa bring more than one item to your kids? The big ticket item usually comes from Santa at our house....
Santa brings several things to my DD. . . lots of little stuff and a couple more expensive things.
