Has anyone every had their external hard drives stop reading. My computer has stopped reading both my external hard drives. I am hoping that I have not lost all my information on them. Any advice.Thanks in advanceNadera

hmmm, my first thought is to suggest that you try hooking it up to a different pc and see if it can be read. If so then the prob could be with your pc, maybe the USB port if that's how you are hooking it up?  and like gloria said, if you are really really worried about it, take it to a professional. There are lots of Geek Squads out there, most office and electronics stores offer them now.

If you have extra cords, you might try changing the cord on it.  That is what was wrong with mine, the cord had a short in it.
