Ikat...anyone loving!
I have to say it's growing on me!!! I'm working on some papers and turned a couple into some Ikat designs and thought I would give them away on my FB page ;)
Have a great holiday!

I love those papers although I can't download them right now because I am on my phone. But can I ask a question? What does ikat mean?

Re: Ikat...anyone loving!
Ikat has been in the textile industry for as long as I can remember.
"Ikat, or Ikkat, is a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dye on either the warp or weft fibres prior to dyeing. The word ikat derives from the Indonesian word mengikat 'to tie'.[1]"

Basically the patterns look a little stringy in my opinion. Here's an example
