Have found some really cool templates on this website. Does anyone know what file types, if any, are compatible with Creative Memories StoryBook Creator? I have not had any issues with purchasing artwork kits/collections from sources other than CM and using them. However, I am unsure if templates would work? Thank you for the help!
I don't use it, but their website says "... export your pages to formats like PNG, PDF, or JPG, so you can upload them directly into Digital Center templates." It is on their FAQ: http://www.creativememories.com/Content ... 4-FAQ.aspxhope this helps!

I don't use the CM program either, but based on what Jeanette said, not entirely sure the freebie templates will work. I recently re-downloaded a few of them, and the ones I noted are jsut the PSD files, not PNG files. Unless you program can read PSD files (the Photoshop version), I'm not sure if they'll be able to be used. But hopefully someone else more familiar with the program can help.
If you're interested in trying out PSE (Photoshop Elements) , you can download a trial good for 30 days of use. It's got a bit of a learning curve but I didn't find it particularly difficult, and there are lots of digi scrappers here who can help guide you.

I'm not 100% sure - but if it works like Close to My Heart - they usually build into their software things that force you to buy and use their own templates, because that's their business afterall, not faulting CM or CTMH for that one. So I doubt highly that you will be able to use free templates not related to either program on their software. I'd ask where they say "Contact us".
Thank you for all of the replies! Really appreciate it! Wondering if I should switch to PhotoShop for digital scrapbooking? It seems that you can do more with it (i.e. brushes). Besides PhotoShop, are there other programs I should consider? Thanks!
If you already own the program and like it there's no need to switch. There are some free & inexpensive templates available - try one & see if it works!
I use The GIMP, which is free but doesn't have the most intuitive interface. Drop-shadows are really easy and it handles lots of layers well, but I haven't done much else with it.

Do you get the CM "DigiKnow" newsletter? I just got one & there's a gorgeous new spring kit, plus it reminded me about CM's predesigned pages (which are basically templates). I don't use StoryBook Creator, but I do use Memory Manager & have downloaded a lot of CM's digital freebies (which are png's so work w/most other programs). I do know they've gotten better about offering their kits in both "CM" and "Universal" formats. I don't have time to look right now, but surely they say somewhere what all types of files work w/their software.
