Thanks so much to everyone for entering my first challenge! You all did a FABULOUS job making those colors pop, and I've left love to each and every one of you! I LOVED ALL of your pages!!

I am so excited to be the Digital Guest CT and I have planned a few challenges for you! Being that everyone all knows and loves my Boomer, my first challenge is inspired by his beautiful black coat. I love how bright colors look when they are up against black, so I want you to do a layout using black as your background color and then add bright colors to your page. You can use as many or as few colors as you like. The idea is to let the black really bring out the bright colors you choose. I am so looking forward to seeing what you all come up with! Come on, let me see those colors POP!

You have until October 4 and then I will pick a random winner to receive a $5 GC to ACOT! A gallery spot should be opened up soon so please post your layout there and also to this thread so everyone can see your creation!

Make Those Colors Pop Challenge:


1) Black must be the background color of your layout.


2) You must add bright colors to your page. You can use as many or as few colors as you like. You can even use just one.


3) Upload to the gallery and to this thread by Oct. 4


4) A random winner will be chosen to receive a $5 gift card to ACOT from me!

Here is the page I did. I was inspired by the pretty dress my granddaughter Maddie is wearing. For this page I used kits from Bella Gypsy, SAS, Sweet Digi Scraps, Hot Flash Designs, and Silvia Romeo.

Can Paper Gals play too?

Here's your layout. I just open the gallery in another window, and make the layout I want to copy large. Then I right click it, select copy, and then paste back in the reply to the thread. I know there are more technical ways of doing it, and since I've never figured out how to actually link a layout, I just post the link separately in the same manner if I want to. Works for me!

Barb, thanks for posting an awesome challenge. I had so much fun with this LO, and the flowers/butterflies I had in my stash were just PERFECT for this challenge.


Here is mine. Pics are of me and my Dad dancing during the Father~Daughter Dance at my Wedding. :

What a fun challenge! I think I have some good pics to use for this one.

Brandy I LOVE those flowers and butterflies and the glittery frames! They look fantastic on the black background!
