WWII memorial to be edited

My mom and I went on a mother daughter vacation a few years ago to DC. I have this one picture that I really want to use but there were big orange cones and safety saw horse things in the picture. Now, when I took the picture I was like oh I can edit those things out and it will be perfect. Easier said than done. One thing I have never done is edit a photo in like photoshop or something. I have the newest version of Photoshop extended with no idea how to use it. Any suggestions on books or websites that can help me out?

Well I could do it myself but that wouldn't be all that helpful to you in the future and such. So instead I'm gonna link you to a short but quick youtube video. They go over the basic steps of content aware. This is a feature new to CS5 in Photoshop. If you need any help with it, let me know!
