Anyone heard if there is going to be one today? I know Liz said earlier that she was having net issues...and I don't see a recap from this morning. So maybe not?

I waited till the last minute...now I can't remember. Shadowing, inking & distressing. That's what we talked about last week, right? Was there anything else?

I don't think she ever posted the recap thread with the directions (and that's where we'd put our layouts too). Haven't heard anything from her since that night (did she do the other chat on Saturday?)...really hoping it's just internet problems instead of something else wrong. I haven't done mine yet as I was hoping to use her new release for that. Hope that we hear something from her soon.

I worked all weekend so I never really noticed if there was a Saturday recap. I found some tutorials on shadowing that I played with...like changing the color of the shadow. Not really sure if I noticed any difference! Lol. But I've been hoping foe that release too. I know her internet has been bad....hopefully it's fixed soon for her!

I decided I'll just post it here when it's done. I want to do it anyway so I don't get further behind on my goals!!
But I do hope everything is ok! I know she was having lots of internet issues.

Thank you ladies for your concern- I do apologize - but alas my internet has been quit the bugger for me.
I had 2 repairmen here today, and after new cables and yet another new modem (This is now the 4th I have had in 3 years) I am up and going!
I will be posting the tut/guides here shortly for everyone- thank you so much for your patience and again I apologize.
**But I am happy dancing though- I am soo happy to be plugged back in! SQUEEEEE**

I finally finished...I know it's super late, it took me awhile to figure out how to do the inking. Still not sure there isn't a different way. But I think I at least figured out something cool! I "inked" the edges of all the little squares of paper and I tore the edges of the large green paper. I also changed the way I shadow so that it's to the left instead of right. I do like it better!

Ok, so mine is embarassingly late...but I finally got it done and had to wait for a reveal before I could upload it. I've got the "inked" edges (still need to tweak how to distress something...that didn't look too good yet), and I did customized shadows on all the elements (instead of just black)...it takes a while but it really made a huge difference!

Yes, we were supposed to do the clustering and coloring. I was just getting ready to post to see if anyone knew where we put that layout. Should we put it here?

Yeah, I think it just goes here. I saved that thread, buthaven't done a layout specifically for it because I've been working on so many other things. But your layouts are great!

Ok, here's mine for this week. Now this is a template, so the clustering was already laid out...but I think the principles are the same as our chat, especially the layers on top and ones tucked behind. And I recolored the ricrac and the journaling block to match the colors. Then I added our lesson from last week on changing the color of the shadowing because it really does make a difference (I like adding what we've learned as we go...like layers on a cake). Looking forward to tomorrow's chat!
