Hi Everyone!

I'm looking to do a project that I need scrapbook paper for and I've fallen in love with some digital ones, can you just go somewhere to have the paper printed out without photos and a layout on it? It's probably a silly question, but just want to make sure.

I'm not much help, but I know you can print from your pc.  I don't know about sending it somewhere to print . . .  There are other members here who send their stuff out to print; I'm sure they'll help you when they see your question.

I have printed my own PL style cards or other embellishments form digital kits online so I don't see why you couldn't do that for background paper.  Although I can see it becoming really expensive quickly.  You would need a printer that can print wider than your pages or full page borderless prints, paper to print this on, the ink to do all this printing plus the ability to adjust printer setting so the colors print just right.  The other option would be getting color prints at staples or a print shop which is sure to be pricey.

I've printed stuff from digi kits in Word or Microsoft's photo manager many times.  Depending on the pattern & how you want to use it, play around w/different previews to see what it'll look like on 8 1/2 x 11 (if it needs to stay a square you can print it 8x8).  Obviously if you want a full 12x12 you'd have to get it done somewhere that can print that size.  Most online photo places can do that, I think they start around $4?

If your project works with paper that is 8 1/2 by 11 inches you have lots of options as long as it isn't showing a copyright notice. Try downloading to your computer and after shopping the online options you can upload to them for printing. Remember, this size is more costly than a little 4X6 photo. I have used Nations Photo on line for 12x12 digi layouts but not often and only when there was a good sale. If you have a home printer, printing what you download should work fine. If all the options you find for those prints, you might be able to find some delightful substitutes here on ACOT that won't cost so much.

I have printed digi accents from my computer and even a couple of times some background paper - but I resized it for what I needed (which was a card). I don't know about a 12x12 sheet. I suspect that it would be expensive.

It is pretty costly most places, unless you get a discount. I found it way cheaper in the long run to buy an Epson Wide Format printer. I get 100's of pages out of the ink cartridges, and I make gifts for family, as well as printing my 12 x 12 digi layouts. I also print papers to use for paper scrapping. Love it!

I have a wide format printer. I find that if I print a digital paper on 12x12 card stock, it curls  and doesn’t look great. Probably need to use photo paper or some other higher quality paper, but I haven’t tried. I do print digital elements to use as embellishments and they come out pretty good. I mostly just use it to print photos.

Your display would need to be calibrated. I've had zero problems with the way my prints look since I had it color calibrated.

In Darktable, I use the softproof mode to see what my prints would look like... In fact, if I'm going to print, I usually just edit with softproof on.

I have a SureColor 600P from Epson, and I like it. I almost just print color on the Epson Fiber or the Baryata papers. Either 6x9, 12xq 18, 8x8,/or 12x12 inch prints in general.

I'm going to try some red river paper soon, because it's a lot cheaper than the paper from Epson.

I've got a 100 foot 19 inch roll of paper waiting for a few panos, but I haven't done it yet.
