Ikat has been in the textile industry for as long as I can remember.
"Ikat, or Ikkat, is a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dye on either the warp or weft fibres prior to dyeing. The word ikat derives from the Indonesian word mengikat 'to tie'.[1]"
Basically the patterns look a little stringy in my opinion. Here's an example

Some patterns a truly like...but others....I just don't know if I really like them or not! LOL!
