The problem with the carving into the tree, which I had already tried, was that I couldn't get it to look 'carved'. It looked like text typed on the tree. Anyone have a suggestion or idea how to do that?

As for a carved look to the text, sometimes I use one of the PSE text tools on metal to give it kind of an engraving look. Of course, now I can't think of the name of it! But it puts an inside shadow, to make it look like your text is below the surface, if that makes any sense.

Tracy - it's absolutely fab! I'd only suggest adding a handful more of the leaves on the top layer to sort of "round out" the tree, kwim? Maybe some strategically placed above the rings at the top of the swing so that it's not just floating too...
