They are running commercials on Nick in the evenings for a paper cutter that has a light that glows from underneath but my DGS saw it last night and said "PopPop do you want to get one of those?" They looked pretty cheap from what I saw, did anyone else see it?

I have seen the cutter but I don't think it is anything I would need. I saw the commercial and unless the paper is thin or very light in color I don't think the light will help! JMHO

I think the commerical is pretty funny. I love the way the woman cuts her photos. I don't think a light is going to help her.

I haven't seen the commercial, but I did pick up a back lit cutter at Michael's. It was not cheap - I used a coupon!!I haven't tried cutting with it. I mainly got it because I need a back lit thingy for looking at negative strips and slides and figured it could do that, too.

My 7 yr old son says everytime it is on...."Whatever, like that would help!" cracks me up!!!I thought about it, but then nope I can spend my $$ on paper instead.

They've been running them on HGTV as well. I think she needs new glasses rather than a new cutter but the cutter itself looks interesting.

yeah, i saw it too several times in the last few days. I have tried other cutters and keep going back to my el cheapo provo craft pink and green trimmer. I love it the best and I have a little line that I can tell where I am cutting. Hasn't let me down yet! I also have those little wavy edged scissors in about 20 different styles. I think the light idea is neat, but unless it cut like the one I already have, I will not be getting one!!

I got one unexpectedly for Christmas. Didn't really want one. Haven't tried it yet. I read on another board that you have to push down harder with the blade in order to get it to cut. Another lady uses it without the light. Who needs something with more batteries. Anyway, I'm not in the mood to try it yet.

I haven't seen it, but like the light feature on the Genesis cutter - as if I'll ever be able to afford one...

I've been seeing those as well. I just laugh every time at the woman who can't cut a straight line! I know it's exaggerated. I'd be interested in seeing it in action, though. I still love my Carl rotary cutter though.

I read on another board that the light does show through even darker colored cs. I don't think I would use the light anyway so what's the point? Other than the different blades...but then, I still have a ton of deco edge scissors gathering dust in my drawer.

I tried my CraftLite cutter today. It's okay, but, I don't really need one.I didn't try out the light. The wavy, stamp, and zigzag cuts are barely distinguishable from one another. The scorer is not neat. I don't like the straight cutter. It doesn't let you see where you're cutting and doesn't stay where you want it very well.I don't think is that great.Anyone want to buy mine for $20 plus extra for shipping?
