does anyone have one of the digital design portfolios? I am eyeing the sweetheart one....but wanted to be sure they are worth the money.

It's not like digital scrapbooking....I believe it is just a cd to use with the silhouette. Each cd has 4 versions of an alphabet as well as 200 designs.
It's like the cricuit...except it does not use cartridges....it is by quickutz....I opted for this one because I can use any of the true type fonts I can download.
I need how to learn to use my Silhouette soon....I will learn soon, and then we will chat
I was going to say you are probably in your own little world with one of those, but I stand corrected. I would love to have one of those. Isn't that the machine you can hook up to your computer and it prints the fonts you have stored? or is it the wishblade I'm thinking of?

Hi! Lynnette! Yes I can use any true type font. It is awesome. I got it for my birthday. It is great. I think the wishblade does almost the same thing.
That is cool for you then Jen. Enjoy it.

I haven't bought any of the portfolios, but I think they are SO CUTE! I find so many free images online that so far I haven't needed to buy any!
I was looking at these today- after the first gasp of sticker shock I still have questions, Can you use any paper in it and what is the expensive Vinyl for? are there ink cart. to buy or I'm just missing the whole concept?Melinda
I have had no problems with paper...you just have to make sure you are using the right blade cap......I think the vinyl you are talking about is to stick to the wall???? Not sure No ink cartidges. Need to replace the cutting blade and cutting mat periodically. I have read online that they are good for about 100 cuts. Don't know how accurate that is as I just got mine a couple of weeks ago and have only used it a couple of times.
I have cut WAY more than 100 things with the blades and they're still good. I know this because I cut 75 daisies for a crisis center banquet. The cutting mat doesn't last me long.....mainly because I have a cat and it attracts her hair like a magnet.
