Hey Cherries. Nothing much going on here today. I have to drop off a modem at the cable store. The new modem is up and running and working well. Finally. Have not been able to get in my scrap room all week with so many things to deal with. Hopefully this will be the day I can finally get in there.

Have a great day Cherries.

It is so cold and dry here that I don't really want to scrap because my hands keep cracking. And I wash my hands a lot when I'm scraping if I use inks and stuff which will just make my hands worse. It's ok, I have plenty to do today anyway. Benjamin and I are planning to go out to lunch and then walk to Trader Joes and buy dried fruit for him to take back to college. We do that each time he comes home just before he goes back (he goes back Sunday).  Then I'm going to a happy hour at a friends home and then to an art gallery opening with a different friend who is also going to the happy hour.

We had a nice dinner last night as a late birthday celebration. Weirdest thing, one the way home Zach told us that back in high school he was accepted to an Ivy League college but didn't tell us because he didn't want us to make him go there. This would have been 5 years ago, odd that he told us now. I think he made a good choice as he had a good college experience.

Have a Good Friday everyone and stay warm!

Cold and still a bit windy here.  We are going to brave the weather and do our Friday grocery trip.  Then I don't plan on going out again until tomorrow at 3 for DGS's BB game!  He had a great game last week and scored 10 points.

Hey Barb 😊 Glad your new modem is working so well! 😊

Hey Cherries 😊
LOL I thought my Wi-Fi was out because of the weather, but I ACTUALLY had to pay the bill! 😂 (Thought it was due on the 17th, NOT the 7th!) 😂 I can really ONLY laugh about it!
I'm in a better mood today 😂 even though I'm NOT thrilled to go out in the cold, I do have to go to work in a little while. We're ONLY expected to get a few additional inches of snow, but I anticipate we'll be busy at work. I hope we are because it makes the time go by faster!
No scrappin' yesterday but I have a layout to finish- maybe tonight after work? The new schedule comes out today so we'll see! 😉
Stay blessed Cherries! And stay warm! 😉🍒❤️

My husband took all the ornaments off the tree yesterday. So now we have a tree with just lights. Nice at night but a bit weird during the day.  Maybe I'll get to the rest of it in a day or two or three.  The ornaments are kept up in our closet so they don't get wrecked by fluctuating temps (particularly the glass ones) but the lights and tree have to be brought to the shed. (And I have to get the bin and tree bag from the shed first. It's dang cold out there!)  When I do get that area cleaned up, then I will set up my puzzle table there in front of the window.

@GinniG - you live in a rainforest area? I thought it was odd you got lots of rain. Guess some of us always think of Alaska as snow.  I even googled it... need to study maps more.  I didn't even realize Alaska came down like that! Guess I never really registered the tail end coming off it on maps.

Love the card sketch this week! I have an original sizzix pocket die and I've never used it yet. (Got lucky just before covid hit and found 2 towers with dies at Goodwill!)

I have to share this.  We got 5.9 more inches of snow on top of our 3 1/2 from the other day, and all on top of ice.

My 81 year old hubby has been going out every hour doing a little.  The sun is shining now, but it is 17 out.

Stay warm everyone.  Oh,  I feel much better today.  Don't know what was up yesterday.  Maybe the tylonol pm I have been taking for my shoulder pain?  Anyway, last night I didn't take it.  It has never bothered me before, though.

Maybe, I will scrap today. I hope you all get some crafting time.  Barb, glad you are up and running again with the internet!  Louise, my hands crack, too.  I have a Band-Aid on my thumb right now.  So painful.  That is interesting about your son.  That is good you think he made a right decision.  Viki, we are lucky my hubby went to the grocery store yesterday before we got more snow.  He said main roads were ok yesterday but getting out of our residential area was terrible.  So, that means worse today!  Holly, I would forget, so it is on automatic pay.
Tam, a puzzle in front of the window sounds fun, but no one here that will work it with me!  Hubby is a sport fanatic and not interested in puzzles.  However, if I can't crank my big shot because i am in pain, he will do that for me.  In fact I have had him stamping with my stamp platform for me. :)
Alaska- rain.  When we went on a Alaskan Cruise back in 2008 when we were young, we visited Ketchikan, and they get a tremendous amount of rainfall!  I can't remember the numbers, but astronomical, I think.

Have a great day.  It is going to tell me someone else posted while I was typing, because I have been typing a long time. LOL

I like doing it myself. Or with my daughter (though it's only been a few times). My husband will want to do it with me but maybe he won't last long. 😉😄

Sounds like a fun day Louise! Maybe Benjamin wanted to make sure he had chosen colleges wisely before he told you? Glad he’s having a good experience!

I don’t blame you for wanting to stay inside Vicki!!! Congrats to your grandson for scoring so many points! Hope he does well again this weekend! Good thing the game’s inside too! :)

Lol Tam! Most people think Alaska is all Eskimos and igloos! Hahaha! We live on Prince of Wales Island near Ketchikan which is the southern most city in Alaska. We’re just off the border of the Tongass National Forest. It rains a LOT here! But it’s always beautiful. :)  If you place a map of Alaska over a map of the continental USA we cover quite a bit of it. We like to tease Texans and say we could cut Alaska in half and make Texas the third largest state. Hahaha! We have more land mass but the majority is unpopulated. So we tend to be much warmer than Anchorage which is 1,000 miles away!

How wonderful that you scored those towers of dies!!! Enjoy playing!

Hey Cherries! Another stormy night last night. Got a couple inches of rain earlier this week and then between yesterday and today another 3 inches! Good thing this land drains quickly!

My leg muscles started spasming yesterday as soon as I tried starting to do things. So I took a couple of Tylenol thinking I’d sleep awhile and be able to get something done. It knocked me out until 8:30 and then I went back to sleep! I’m going to take some extra fibro meds tonight and hopefully that will help. I really need a long hot stone massage but up here a 30 minute massage was over $100 a few years ago. So that’s really not an option. I miss my monthly massages! Lolol!

I’m determined to get the Christmas decorations put away today. Then I HAVE to go to the cabin and get a few things done. After that I want to play some more. We will see how much I get done. Lolol!

I feel bad because here we are way up north and our temp yesterday and today are around 44F! So weird!!!

Stay safe and warm dear Cherries!!!

Hello ladies! Happy Friday!

The weeks are just flying by for me.

Still lots of snow on the ground. Some of it melts during the day with warmer temps , then it all refreezes at night. Chinook winds blowing out there today! Winter weather advisory for the weekend!

No big plans. Just playing with paper and scissors and glue. Just on pick up patrol or the grandson at 3pm. Oldest granddaughter working on her 2nd big mural inside the high school. DD sent me some photos of her working on it today. Can hardly wait to see the end result! She sure is leaving her mark on the walls of the high school.

That’s about it for me! I lead a very boring life right now.

Hello, cherries! Winter slowdown has really hit me. I did manage to finish my new year's cards, but still haven't taken pics of them yet, much less prepped them to send. Argh. Don't know why it's so hard sometimes. I really want to take pics today, and get as many cards out by tomorrow as possible.

We had school finally yesterday, but another snow day today. I twisted my ankle yesterday morning, and the driving and walking in and out of all my buildings just made it awful by the end of the day. I just took advil and sat there with an ice pack forever. I found the heating pad today, so will alternate ice and heat.
