Scrap a Day, January 7th

Hey Cherries. What a day yesterday. I spent most of the day out or on the phone with the cable company. To make a very long story short we were having WiFi issues and I picked up a new modem and had so much trouble getting it functioning. Had no internet all day. Finally got it up and running last night. I did get to spend some time with my sister though so that was nice. Today I am in all day (yay) which makes me happy since our wind chill is in the single digits. Going to finish my laundry that I never got to finish yesterday and get in my scrap room which I also didn’t get to do yesterday. Oh and we did end up getting some snow ❄️ around an inch maybe but I’ll take it! Roads were good but a nice covering of white on everything. And it certainly is not going to melt today. My polar dogs love it!

Hope everyone that was in yesterday’s storm is safe and hope you all have power!

Have a great day Cherries.

Good morning Barb. So sorry you're dealing with wifi issues. Glad you're staying in.

Winter made its presence here yesterday. We were 87 Sunday afternoon and overnight, dropped to 39 with wind chill of 30. Luckily we warmed up nicely to 58 with lots of sun. But this morning, we woke up to a cool 32 (wind chill was 28). Luckily the winds have died down. Miss Penny Lane is wearing her PJs and was nice and cozy last night. With the drastic drop in temps (from 87 to 39 in less than 12 hrs) I was dealing with some major sinus pressure and migraine yesterday. Made it extremely difficult to work. Luckily meds knocked it out but I was pretty drained yesterday. Went to bed early last night.

This morning, change in routine as the pups didn't get fed until after 8:15am. I dropped Jasmine off at the vet's office at 8am for her cyst removal surgery. Took her there and got home to feed Penny and Shelby. Terminix should be here in the next hour to do our quarterly spraying.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and stay warm.

Hey Cherries 😊
It's about 20° I'd say. 🥶 Brr! We got some more snow yesterday but I'd say we have a good 6 inches. It's VERY cold!
My Little Bit just HAD to go out last night and hasn't made it back, and I'm starting to worry a little. He's part Maincoone, so I know he's more adaptable to the cold than some of the others, but STILL! (Is he in the shed ignoring us again?)
Someone let the kittens out at some point last night - not me!- and somehow they brought a bird inside this morning. 🙄 NOT a live bird! 😕 I thought it was nice and cute that they were playing with their catnip mice, until I turned on the light!! 😮😩 Lol so yeah, it was an interesting morning! 😂
My hot water froze up and Omer has been beside himself trying to keep the water from freezing all the way up. He basically stayed up for two days and didn't get much rest and was VERY cranky this morning! Bless his heart! (But I don't think he trusts anyone else to keep checking the water in the bathroom and kitchen! It IS running!)
Yesterday was a lazy fun day and more of the same today! Hoping my Little Bit comes back soon!
Stay blessed, Cherries! 🍒 ❤️🙏🏻 Stay warm and safe!! ☺️

Got another lovely, snow day!  They called around 7:30 pm last night, because the wind is blowing and drifting all our snow out in the country. :)  I am enjoying my extra day, since yesterday was a workday and I had a bunch of grades to enter, as well as lesson plans and seating charts. Going to be a short, but chaotic, week as we try to cram in and make up all the things we missed!  lol

Glad you got your WiFi going, Barb!  Aren't we spoiled with our technology? It's so annoying when we have to do without it, never mind the issues to get it fixed!  Eliza loves the snow, too! :)

Whew!  That type of drop will give you whiplash, let alone a migraine!  Glad you got rid of it, and that your weather warmed back up a little. ;)  Sending prayers and good thoughts for Jasmine!

Yes, it is cold here, too!  Our snow isn't melting one bit, and the roads in the country all drifted shut again, so I got another snow day! :)  I hope your Little Bit has decided to come back in, now.  Silly kitty!  Artemis wanted out multiple times, yesterday evening, but she came back in every time.  There was no place without snow for her to sit, and she does not like walking in the snow!  lol  No thanks on the inside "kitty toys!"

Those drastic temp changes are a killer for sure.  I had a sinus headache for 3 days until the weather finally changed.  It was No Bueno!  Hope all goes well with Jasmine's surgery.  She'll be ready for some lovin' when she gets home.

Never fun trying to cram 5 days into 3.  Hope it works out when you get back in the classroom.  Our DGKs were off Monday and today also.  We got about 4 inches of snow, but the wind is causing a lot of black ice in the area.

Howdy. Sunny but cold north wind today.  When the wind comes down from the mountains in summer, makes it hotter here.  Same wind, same mountains in winter makes it much colder.  lol. Don’t ya love weather?

Been busy all morning cleaning/tidying.  Washed my hair too.  Only other thing I’m planning is to clean pellet stove.  It’s having a problem getting going when I turn it on last several evenings which often means the little trap thingie that regulates the pellets feeding into the firebox is having issues.  Hoping cleaning fixes it.    Then I think I’ll hit my craft table  and do some tidying up there too.  I’d rather b playing but I’ve lost some of my distress mini ink pads lol so guess cleaning/tidying is necessary.

have a safe & warm Tuesday.,
