I really recommend watching it! He shares his heart and his future plans.

In summary, he's stepping back from creating new products and focusing his time on demoing and creating. He is not retiring or going anywhere, and the different brands he works with are still going to manufacture his products. He will still have new products coming out this year, since they were in the works and designed last year. That's the gist of it, but watch the video for all the details.

I say good for him! I think he's probably burnt out with all the different products he's done over the years (over 5,000!) and he doesn't have time to actually play and create with them. I think we'll be able to get all kinds of inspiration and ideas from him this year to use all his products, and it will be so fun!

Yes, I saw his announcement. I say good for him too, he was going nonstop for years and years and I'm sure with all the planning etc it never ends. I know I have so many of his items I have not even had time to use yet, I tried to not look at the new stuff lately cause I can't keep up myself lol. I'll bet in a couple years he'll be back with more cool stuff! In the meantime there's plenty to play with.

Totally agree with other comments! He's been going full speed ahead for years and years .... and I"ve been buying years and years but haven't really played with, probably, half of what I've acquired. Now I can catch up on tutorials for the products I bought but don't know what to do with (grunge-board anyone?)!!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Tim twice. He is an amazing teacher and I think this move is wonderful.

I did see it earlier today when Katie and I were chatting.  I am so happy for him.  He has put a lot of time, love and effort into everything that he has worked for the past twenty years.  I've taken his classes and met him at CHA.  He is a great person and is kind, patient and generous to a fault.  I wish him only the very best in his new venture.

I did watch his video. I for one am cheering him on. He certainly has earned a big break! It will be interesting for what is ahead for him. I have a lot of his product too and have been a fan of his distress ink since way back in the beginning!

I also say good for him!  He has been such a force for new products and techniques over the last 20 years - I can't wait to see what creations he can come up with using his AMAZING products.  I have A LOT of them and will continue to amass more - so I'm always wanting inspiration for what I can do with them!

I watched his video, too.  And while there will be sad  people out there (he mentioned either at Halloween or Christmas scavengers "collect" his stuff, simply to sell at a profit) who won't be happy, he seems to be doing what makes him happy!  I had a one on one tutorial with him for 15 minutes and he and I sat and made tags, with him showing me how to rust the edges of the tag.  He gave me his tag and signed it when we were done.  He's such a nice person  and I wish him all the happiness!!

I agree with all of the above!!! He deserves this break for sure!!! He’s an amazing artist and it will be fun to see what he creates with his own products.  I’d say be ready to stock up on anything he showcases Rachel!!! If we don’t already have it we’re definitely going to WANT it!!!  

And like Leslee I’ve been a Ranger distress ink fan forever! I have every color in the mini inks and a lot of the full size inks too. When I get set up better I’ll be getting more of the full size distress inks and start collecting the oxides as soon as I can! Katie Pertiet has shown all kinds of ways to use those and I’m excited to keep playing with them!!!!
