Scrap a Day, January 2nd
Hey Cherries. Back to reality today. I so enjoyed the last week. I haven’t left the house since Christmas Eve. I have a nail appointment today so that’s not bad. Christmas is all packed up and put away. I just have two things that are new that I need bins for. With that done it’s on to cleaning up my scrap room.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning Barb and DCs! We’re out a day early for our weekly grocery run.  Trying to get ahead of the upcoming weather this weekend.  Not much else except catching up on the board and in the gallery.

Re: Scrap a Day, January 2nd
Good morning.

Yesterday we spent a nice day with m SIL and her family in Hoboken. It was convenient since Zach spent New Years Eve in Hoboken with his friends and then crashed at her house. That morning he moved his car closer to her house and managed to get a flat in those 2 miles. People tried to patch the flat and it seemed to hold but since we had 2 cars with us, we told him to leave first so we could stop if there was a problem. Turned out it was a slow leak and there are free places to pump the tires on the turnpike so he was able together about halfway home and left the car at the dealer in which we bought it many years ago. We were able to drive everyone home in the other car. So, now I am dealing with a car needing a tire (which may be under warrantee) in central jersey and we want to get some other repairs done while it island then figure out how to get it back here. The other car is electric and may not have enough charge to go there after the long drive yesterday. Not stressful, just complicated. But it was super nice to spend the day with them and better to have this happen when we have 2 cars in the same place.

Between that and the cold weather I'll be staying in and scrapping much of the day. I need to write down the challenges and get started on a London album and then I'll work backwards catching up. And I have one other page queued up that I want to finish. And I need to draw a winner for my challenge and start thinking about the next progressive challenge.

Good morning Cherries!
At work and hard at it working on month end reports ahead of YEAR end reports! Ugh…. It’s that time of year! I have 2 done.
I am having a hard time focusing today. And thinking about the winter storm. We are always at the weird line that we don’t know if it will end up as snow or ice or nothing! Ugh again.
so today after work I will go and get a few groceries and tomorrow run an errand. Then I should be set for the weekend.
it was nice to have Weds off.
have a great day today!

Still excited at how well my Buckeyes played last night!  :)  Today, I am writing down challenges and planning to use my new Cricut (birthday gift from DH) and Easy Press (Christmas gift from DH...he did well!)  to make a t-shirt for my work colleague to thank her for helping to choreograph our upcoming musical, The Music Man. Time to get it into gear!

Yes, that weather is looking crazy!  I won't be mad if I have a snow day on my first day back from Christmas break, though. ;)

I'm glad you aren't stressed by the car situation!  After I bought my Mini, I took my old, reliable Beetle in for an oil change and to rotate the tires.  One of them has had a slow leak all of this past Fall, and I just kept pumping air into it about every 2 weeks. smh  Turns out, I need to buy 4 new tires.  I really didn't think I had put that many miles on them, but when I went back, they were purchased in 2019!  lol  Time really flies!

I hope you don't have ice.  Snow would be pretty...ice is just dangerous and annoying!  Good luck focusing on your end-of-year stuff...I am having trouble getting motivated to think about going back to school on Monday. lol

Glad you had a wonderful time with your SIL and her family but sorry Zach got a flat tire. That is never fun. Hope the tire is under warranty

It is in the high 20's here, but that is such a drop from what we have had the past few weeks in the high 40's and 50's!  Plus, the wind is brutal!

Good morning cherries! Like Susan, back to reality today. My client and her staff are back today. Hoping for a peaceful day.

Went on my walk this morning and washed a load of towels. Ran to the grocery store to get a MealSimple for DH and I for dinner. With both of us working today not sure if either of us will be wanting to cook. We've been working thru leftovers so I grabbed a couple of salmon pinwheels with cream cheese/spinach and some brussel sprouts with bacon and parmasean cheese. All we have to do is just pop them in the oven.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Re: Scrap a Day, January 2nd
After packing up Christmas yesterday I wanted a quieter day today.  Still washing sheets and towels and paying bills.  Put up my winter display.  The rooms are so sad with all the decorations down.  DH is off to the dentist for a cleaning.  I am staying in because it is cold out there at 10F.  And we are under s winter storm watch for Friday and Sat.  With it so cold the snow on the ground won't be melting anytime soon.  Winter is here.

Going to play in my scrap space where it is cozy and warm.

Have a great day!

Re: Scrap a Day, January 2nd
Hello.  Wintery sunshine sort of with some clouds.  Looks pleasant but cold.  Definitely fleece lined slippers today. Nothing on my agenda until Monday. Made a lovely baked ham and scalloped potatoes dinner for my boys and I last night so don’t even have to cook tonight cause leftovers.   And, haha, it’s been so cold the ants are gone too.  Well at least for now.  We’ll see how that goes when it starts raining again.

I seem to b at 6’s and 7’s today.  Or maybe just a bit slow getting started this morning or something. lol

Have a warm, safe Thursday.

Hello Cherries...wishing safety to those of you facing winter storms.

Got up early and headed out to the 90% Hobby Lobby Christmas sale. My first time ever going the morning of. Complete madness!!!  I went there to get gifts for my classroom kiddos for the next two years...40 cents per kid, can't beat that!!  Only spent about 50 bucks total and am also stocked on wrapping paper, tape and some extra Christmas decor. Saw ladies with 6-7 overflowing carts...just crazy!

Hoping to scrap a bit now that I'm home.

Too bad about Zach’s tire. Hope they get it and the other things fixed quickly and inexpensively!!!
