Scrap a Day, New Year’s Day
Happy New Year Cherries! I went to bed very late last night. Staying up for midnight is not a problem for me as I am always up way past midnight. Last night I watched New Year’s Rockin’ Eve until long after Ryan Seacrest went home. Lol. Not ready to start my day yet, but when I am I’ll be taking Christmas down and packing it away.

Hope you all have a great day and I wish all of you a very happy and healthy New Year!

Happy New Year DCs!!  Enjoyed our usual surf n' turf dinner and glass of champagne!  We watched Keith Urban in Nashville and then the ball drop in NYC.  Sent messages to all of our loved ones and turned out the lights.  Low key day today for us.  Bringing in the New Year quietly.

Happy New Year!!

Always exciting to leap head on into a New Year with so many possibilities ahead of us!

Quiet NY eve here. I also cooked surf and turf here. DH doesn’t like seafood, but I sure do. Watched Vicki Boutin on u tube. And headed to bed.

I am another one who will start taking Christmas down today. This morning when I got up the top light on the tree were out, so will have to investigate that. That’s my biggest plans for today! We shall see if I find my way into my scrap space. Layout started on my desk.

Have a great start to this New Year,

Happy New Year Cherries!  💗 to ALL of you!

We watched the ball drop and then continued playing games until around 3 in the morning.  I've been up since 8:00 and made some French Toast.

I've got nothing planned.  I AM NOT one of those who will be taking down Christmas decorations.  I struggled to get mine up on time, and it's a lot of work to pretty everything up, so I'm determined to enjoy them for as long as I can.  I'm not going to think about that until at least the 10th!

Have a great day ALL!

Happy New Year Cherries!! I will have a low key day here too! I started the new year out doing some crafting! I finished a card and then a layout !! Got that posted!! So that feels very good!! Have a wonderful day whatever you find yourself to do!

Here is my layout. I had planned this out back in early Dec.  My DD and I have been going to the Nutcracker every year.  in early Dec. I worked on the hand stitching ... and it was very good to be with her but that day wasn't the best for us.  We did take one photo. It It didn't turn out well in this photo of the layout... The paper I used did not have any foiling but I wanted to accent the gold so I tried the Picket Fences Studios Gold Splatter Watercolor and painted on all the faux gold that was on the paper. I LOOOOOVE how that turned out it is fantastic!

Happy New Years Cherries.  Did our New Years traditions and was in bed asleep (kind of) at 12:20.  Really fell asleep once the kiddo was home. My night owl days are long over.

ODS and girlfriend coming over this afternoon for our traditional New Years Day meal of sauerkraut and sausage. This year the hubby is adding some nice steaks.  Breaking out the fancy china for this one, starting the year realizing that every day is special.  Have a beautiful day Cherries no matter what your plans are  😊

Re: Scrap a Day, New Year’s Day
Hola cherries and Happy New Year! DH and I managed to watch an entire movie on Netflix on top of a couple of shows we had on our DVR before the pups woke up so they could go to bed. LOL. Fireworks started here before 7pm, but we closed the garage door and other back door to tune things out on top of putting music on for them, closing all the blinds. Gave them each a calming chew and a bliss bar with CBD oil on it. By 8pm, Miss Penny was out and by 9pm the other 2 were passed out. Never budged! You could hear the fireworks continue to go off well past midnight and I'm so proud of Penny. I think it's the FIRST year in TWELVE years she didn't have to wear her ThunderShirt!!!

Went to bed a little after midnight, up at 8am. I'm dragging a bit...fed the furbabies, threw bed sheets in the washer and still went on my walk. Showered, had coffee, closed out my challenges, posted my new ones. Scrambled some eggs for a very late breakfast. I'm ready for a nap too. Usually I love to scrap on NYD but since tomorrow is Reality Day (my client and her staff come back tomorrow since being on break since Dec 20th) I'm thinking about just CHILLING. Find something I can sit and binge.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Re: Scrap a Day, New Year’s Day
Happy New Year’s Day.   The usual cold grey foggy January day here.  I was up late even for me .  Tried watching the Nashville country new Years tv show with Keith Urban but that caterwauling they were calling country music just wasn’t my taste.  Guess I’m too dang old!!

sweeping and dusting and getting my rock painting stuff off the dining room table are first to do today.  Then finish yard work I started yesterday.  Get dinner in the oven and the garbage/green waste cans out .  Start the pellet stove so warm and cheerful here when my boys come over.    Phew bet I sleep well tonight.

loved the holiday gold cherries today and that we could find 250!!  Thanks ACOT!      Have a wonderful day to start the new year.

Re: Scrap a Day, New Year’s Day
Happy New Year's DC's. I had high expectations for scrapping all day. But during leaving comments on participants doing my challenge we kept losing power. I guess it was because of the winds but it takes forever to get the Wi-Fi back up and running. I get so frustrated that Alexa keeps saying, "I'm sorry I'm having trouble connecting to your Wi-Fi" and I keep yelling back at her, "I know, I know". Now we are not on speaking terms. LOL!!!

I'm making an easy dinner of sheet pan pork tenderloin, spinach, and small potatoes with grainy mustard.

Re: Scrap a Day, New Year’s Day
Happy 2025 Cherries!  It's a dreary, cold day here. DH and I stayed up til just after midnight.  We were wide awake around 6am and rolled out of bed around 6:30.

I've managed to get one layout done today - and start on a second one while watching CSI reruns.  My best friend and her family are out of town and we have to go over and check on their cat.  I'm thinking we might go out to eat tonight, not sure.  I don't have anything that I really want to cook tonight and we are finally feeling better!
