Hey Cherries. Another day with temps in the 50s. So weird. Laundry today and doing some cleaning up around here. Hopefully getting into my scrap room today. I started a layout for my next music challenge yesterday and hope to finish that up today too.
Have a great day Cherries.

Good morning! We were near 60 degrees yesterday, but had a lot of rain and tons of wind. Today we're only going to be 40 and gray!
I've not cleaned/mopped the kitchen floor since just before Christmas Eve, so I've got to get that done! Surprisingly, I've managed to stay on top of all my other household stuff, so I have no other grunt work to do today.
I've got a pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove for dinner. I got a slow cooker for Christmas, so I might start looking for some recipes so I can put that baby to use!
Have a great day ALL!

OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
Happy Snowy Monday!
Yes, we finally have some snow. Most unusual for us. None really since before Thanksgiving! I got out for my walk yesterday morning. and shortly after it started to rain. Rained most of the afternoon and into the evening started to snow. Have at least 4 inches on the ground. DH has gone out to snowblow the walk and brush the SUV off.
I have been tackling some cleaning. Vacuumed through and have mopped the bathroom and kitchen. The floors were a mess. Will wait to do my wood floor until I take down Christmas decorations. Need to jump in the shower as I have a Dr, appt at llam. Just routine.
Other than that not much going on. Plan to scrap during the afternoon. Want a few more challenges and layouts done for the year.

NICE! Love my slow cooker! I actually have 3 sizes. I use my big one for roasts and stuffs. Medium size one for smaller meals (since it's just DH and I ) and my smaller one for dips like quesoLaura wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 11:25 amGood morning! Good morning cherries. Woke up to a very nice 50 degrees with LOTS of fog but that disappeared quickly and now we're SUNNY. We're SUPPOSED to hit 90 and break some records along the way because, hey, why not?!!
Another weird work week for us. DH works today, then he's off tomorrow and Wednesday, then back at it Thurs & Fri. I'm working too today to take care of some maintenance on the server and archive some records. Mucho easier to do when my client and her pooples are on vacay.
Went on a walk this morning and vacummed the living room.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning. Sunny blue skies with a few puffy white clouds and expected to b upper 50’s today. Into the low 60’s all next week. Only two small chances of rain in next two weeks. Hope that changes.
nothing going on today. Been fooling around with painting rocks. Fun but not as easy as I thought it might be. Still having problems with ants so my house is soooo clean. lol. May have to give up and call bug guy to come spray outside . Stuff like this really makes me miss my DH. He always knew what needed doing and got it done. Sigh. BTW. I HATE ants.
have a merry Monday

If you get those Terro Liquid Ant Bait packs that Laura Art_Teacher mentioned they are amazing. I have had ants and placed them down and they go in the little pack and then take the bait back to their colony and it wipes them out. I put some of the outside ones out on the other side of the wall were I get them too, and have not seen ants since. It really works.
Today was DH's first day back to work since last Monday and a little bit of getting back to normal between Christmas and birthday festivities. We've been putting presents away bit by bit. DH and DD put together a shoe rack and new bookcase that she got for Xmas. I've been copy editing today and trying to sort out Xmas stuff and decluttering. We are also decluttering the fridge with all of these leftovers lol. I think tonight for dinner will be the last of Chef Jimmy's delicious penne ala vodka.
I finished the layout I have had on my table almost all month. Will have to take pics and upload it tomorrow. I still need to upload and do the points and put the layouts and cards in the challenge threads before tomorrow. I'm excited to get caught up and then see what's on tap for January!!

yes that’s what I used on the kitchen counters but Rosie is a nosy kitty so can’t put them on the floor . If the weather would get very cold for a week or two, the problem would b solved. Sigh.

Yes I have that same problem with the doggies. I had to baracade my dining room one year because of the ants and couldn't let them in because of the traps. I can see where baracading won't work with a cat. Good luck.Charleneanne wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 4:23 pmpawprints wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 3:34 pmCharleneanne wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 3:25 pmGood morning. Good afternoon! Other than going to Wegman's to pick up a nice steak for NYE dinner along with some other stuff, we've had a quiet day. I just finished my last prompt challenge (double page) but will need to post that along with one other challenge tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll be working on my SNS / Manufacturer Challenge. I hope everyone is winding down 2024 and ready for 2025!

Took me what seemed hours to upload two projects to ACOT from yesterday and I did a post to my blog, first one since September! I should walk, because this is last decent day as far as temps are concerned. I have no get up and go. I am feeling very lazy right now!
Ants! We fight them in the Spring, but hopefully not now. They are very tiny ants!
crockpot. I do almost everything in the crockpot, especially in the Winter. We do a lot of soups. We have the hambone from .Christmas in the freezer and we will soon be taking that out and adding 1/2 bag of 15 beans and seasoning packet to it and broth, I am hungry for it talking about it, and for cornbread!
I also have the smaller crockpot for cheese salsa dip. Reminds me, I will get that out for NY Eve.

Hey Cherries!!! It's getting cold here again. Not too bad for almost January though! In the 30s and 20s the next few days but no real snow or rain expected. It might be a much more mild winter this year but time will tell!
I've been itching to use my Winter Cherry Box goodies and my Simple Stories Fresh Snow goodies. So I finally got my scrappy space in the dining room sort of set up and got a layout done last night! I saw an idea either on the blog or on the Facebook page so I lifted a couple of ideas and I love how it turned out! These pictures of part of our yard were perfect!
On the left picture you can see a corner of the house we just moved into. I'll have a lot more fun with these goodies again! The sketch is this week's layout sketch and I did 8 chipboard snowflakes for the Hanukkah Day 2 - 8 Items challenge. Hopefully I can play more tonight.
Nothing exciting on the agenda today. Steve needs to go to town to pick up mail and get his glucose monitor and app set up. We tried doing it last night and wound up with some survey app that he would never be interested in. So the clinic said they could help him with it. Currently he's out cutting more wood for the wood stove. Seems he spends the majority of his time dealing with the fire... But it keeps this place warm so we only occasionally have to use the "turbo heater" as I call it. It's about 3 feet long and hooks up to a propane tank and cranks out heat and sounds like a jet engine. Kinda looks like one too! We are SUPER careful with it but right now we need that extra heat. As the house gets finished there will be more ways for it to hold heat but right now it's mostly wood so we need extra help.
I need to go over to the cabin. (It's only 50 degrees there! But we're saving on electric and diesel!) I need to do a load of my laundry, at least one load of Steve's laundry and a load or two of dishes. Once Steve gets his monitor set up he will start working on the water system. And once he hooks up the sink drains I can heat water and wash by hand here if I want to. It will take him awhile to get the whole system hooked up but when it is we shouldn't have to go get jugs of water at the mountain stream about 5 miles away anymore! (Maybe in the late summer if it's dry but not all the time like we have been the past 8 years!!!)
Hope you're all having an amazing day! Can't believe tomorrow's the end of 2024!!! WHERE did this year GO?????

Sounds like our weather too. I feel bad for the people going to Times Square tomorrow night to see the ball drop. It'll be warmish for this time of year but 100% chance of rain!
Yeah I think the floors are the main thing we need to work on. That and recycling. There is a pile of boxes that need to be broken down and taped up before Wednesday recycling day.
Mmm, spaghetti sauce sounds yummy! That is usually Aisling's go-to birthday dinner but we didn't do that this year. Maybe next week/year, haha. Enjoy your slow cooker!
Happy Scrapping!

Well, good afternoon all you ladies!
Happy for the new crock pot! And, wow, on some of the temperatures! Now it is 76 and I think that's what it was about this time yesterday. Last night I had some of that strong wind. Today I heard tornadoes were running amuck in lots of the US.
I am happy to say I've been scrapping a lot! Happy about that! The kitchen needs some attention, since I've been playing around!
I am still unsure about what I'm doing NYE! If I'm driving up to Jacksonville, I'll leave sometime tomorrow. Waiting to hear how my great grands are doing, they have not been feeling well, running a fever.
If I'm not online tomorrow, I want to wish all of you a happy, fun and save NYE!

JoyceAnn, I hope your great grands are feeling better so you can go visit them! We lived in Jacksonville for about a year and really liked it there. I hope all that work on I-95 is finished at last! If you do go then safe travels for you! Hope you also have a happy, fun and safe NYE!!!

Hi Cherries- I have work today and tomorrow. Weds off yay! Then back for thurs/friday.
picking up stuff around the house this afternoon. Doing a few outside things as it seems this will be the last warm day. It was 52 earlier. And the sun popped out for a minute.
started working on a layout yesterday , a nutcracker one - and the photo is of my dd and I at the nutcracker on the 22nd. I’m not finished. So hoping weds I can work on that and maybe some other scrappy stuff! That’s the plan.
no I can’t believe it’s almost 2025!!!
well back to doing house stuff!
have a great evening!

Hey y’all!
I was having a really good scrapping day, and I was all set to go go go! Until my trimmer blade gave out, and to my horror I have absolutely none in my tool drawer I tried going to my small local store, but they only had spare blades for the old version of the We R Makers trimmer.
I finished the layout I was working on, using a metal ruler and a craft knife gosh, how did I ever make anything using a craft knife? I had big plans to finish out the bi-monthly challenge before new years, but now I’m sincerely doubting it.
I guess we’ll have to see how I go tomorrow. For now, it’s bed time for me, it’s 11.45 pm in Denmark.
Have a great second-to-last day of 2024 dear cherries
