Scrap a Day, December 28th
Hey Cherries. Rain all day today and for the next few days. Temps have warned up into the 40s too so what’s left of our snow is washing away. Yesterday I decided to tackle paying bills, so got that out of the way. Today’s plan is to get in my scrap room and start cleaning it up.

Have a great day Cherries.

Same here Barb!  Raining and gloomy for the next few days.  We have a high of 61 on Monday!  Brief warm up though.  I'm finishing up packing away a few Christmas items and getting out the Valentine decor today.  Then to my craft room.  One of the side lights that I use to take pictures blew out and the new one arrives today.  Yippee!!

Good Morning, ladies!

I really have nothing on my agenda but doing laundry and scrapping. I have been missing spending time in my scrap space this month, so making up for lost time and cranking out a few layouts before the end of the month is here. Makes me happy.

I will be waiting until the New Year to dismantle my Christmas decorations.
Grey and gloomy out. Suppose to be windy and snow the next couple of days.

Happy Saturday!

Good morning! The house feels a little empty since the last family member (Emma) left yesterday afternoon. I’m being very lazy this morning but hope to do some scrapping this afternoon. It’s so hard to believe we are almost at the end of 2024!

Re: Scrap a Day, December 28th
Hey Cherries! I basically crashed yesterday. I really thought I was coming down with something. Everything on my body hurt and I couldn’t figure out why. Until this morning… EVERYTHING in the house is different from the cabin! The bed is different. We both have a hard time turning over in it. There’s 4 stairs from the living room into the bedroom and master bathroom. I’m not used to that. There were only 13 stairs in the cabin. There are 20 here but I don’t use them every day. The things that serve as couches for the time being aren’t very comfortable and if I sit there too long I get really stiff especially if the fire goes out in the wood stove. Literally everything I do here is completely different! And to make it worse I didn’t take any of my pills on Thursday so the fibromyalgia is kicked up too. So I thought about all that and said well DUH!!!! Lolol!!! So I’m going to take it very easy today. I’m going to stay in bed and try to watch football games and take some Tylenol. Hopefully that will help! Still we are SOOOOOO happy to be in the house at last! I just never thought about being stiff and sore! I can be so dense sometimes. Hahaha! Maybe tomorrow I can play.

I need to make some cards. My DD’s birthday is tomorrow. She’ll be 44!!!  :surprised: :surprised: :surprised:

DIL’s birthday was yesterday. Lots of Christmas babies!!!

Have a spectacular Saturday!!!!

Grey and gloomy and wet through tomorrow night.  Then weather guy says 5 days at least of winter sunlight and upper 50’s temps.  Nothing going on here today either.   We are in the doldrums!

have a pleasant Saturday.

Good afternoon, ladies!
I worked through procrastination and did what I said would do!

Barb, hope you get a start on your scrap room pick-up (the struggle was real for me!)
I got my craft room desk all picked up and a huge mess all put away. For months I came, made cards, made a mess, and left  :greensad: .Today I found some dies among the paper scraps - oh no!
Leslie, I'm with you - we have never taken down Christmas decorations until Epiphany either.
Ginni, wow! you got over worked by your new home - tough to get the body use to working muscles differently. You'll be use to the new surroundings soon, I'm sure. Hope you get back to crafty play tomorrow!

Feels empty , here, too.  And after five adults left, we did 5 loads of towels and sheets, table linens.  Then we crashed.  I did walk every day since they left, and put craft room back together. In other words got everything out from hiding,.  No crafting though.  I have napped every day since family left.  We are trying to eat all the leftovers.  Other than that, we are totally without energy. LOL

Re: Scrap a Day, December 28th
Hello cherries! Been a busy bee over here. Did laundry and cleaned up my office. Ran into town to go to Earthwise Pets to pick up my prize. The lady had a drawing for 8 different prizes and I won "1 free bottle of CBD oil"...any brand...any strength. Woo-hoo! Then I went across the street to Kohl's to use a gc that DH's aunt got me. Got 2 prs of shoes and some Christmas ornaments (which were 50%).

Cleaned up my scrap room and actually SCRAPPED! First time since Dec 1st! Did the ACOT weekly sketch

Image

Now I want to work on the weekly Card sketch!

Have a great evening y'all.

So sorry you're hurting, Ginni!

We're at my MIL's, and I have taken it easy. Our cooking turned out to be delivered pizza, so yay! And I made a point of reminding everyone on the car ride how much more work we create and what my MIL said to my Mom (about being so sick of cleaning and cooking) when she was at our house for Thanksgivig, and everyone has chipped in without complaint, which makes me happy, and means I'm not doing the dishes alone like usual. ;)

No scrapping and no photo organizing today. But lots of quality time with my son, daughter, and MIL!

Ended up using the scraps and ephemera I still had on my table from previous layout to create a card for the Weekly Card Sketch. Came together rather quickly
