Hey Cherries. Merry Christmas Eve. I am dragging today. I made a huge pot of meatballs and sauce (76 meatballs!) and then put together my lasagna trays. They are all ready to cook tomorrow. With that I went to bed around 3 so I really need to perk up. Today I will bread the fish and fry it later this afternoon and then pack it up. My dining room is still a mess but it doesn't matter right now I am not hosting tonight, and I will have time to do some today and tomorrow before DD and family come, which will be late in the day. Getting together with my sister and her family tonight.
Going to spend the 26th sleeping and chilling. lol
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve Cherries.

That's a lotta meat-a-balls!
My Christmas is white. YAY! Yesterday I made the dough for sugar cookies then made 2 batches of cookies - spritz (trees) and chocolate peppermint. Today I can bake the sugar cookies. I might make some oatmeal scotchies, possibly some peanut butter patties which require no baking. Definitely need to get the floor of my craft room picked up some time today!

Hey Cherries
I'm having some coffee, enjoying the quiet. Gonna read my Bible verse for today here in a few. (I'm in Luke right now, but Karyn Sue has inspired me to read John next. Lol I gave myself permission to take a break from the old testament.)
We're gonna run a few errands soon. (I TOTALLY FORGOT my cards yesterday! We left for a few errands and I meant to get the rest in the mail, and to take the ones to work and TOTALLY walked out of the house without them. LOL! I remembered when I got a little ways down the road, but traffic was so bad!)
LOL so I have ALL the ornaments done and bagged up and ALSO realized that I forgot to take pictures!
Oh well! Bragging rights will come later!
I plan on starting my cards in July this time!
Not too MUCH left for me to do, holiday -wise. DGD knows her gifts will be late and she's okay with it lol it's scrap supplies!
She may NOT be ready to share with the world, but it's soooo good for her to have this outlet and she has more creative talents than she realizes.
I'm seeing family on the 26th for our Christmas family time, so I'm able to iron out any snags!
I may even tidy up and start scrappin'! I didn't anticipate how much time I would be spending on holiday crafting - I'm itching to get scrappy!
Stay blessed, Cherries!

OOOOH, Tam, you had me at cookies!
They sound yummy!
AND lol I have to tidy up my space a little, too!
(A LOT actually!)
Have a wonderful day!!

Good Morning.
Have been busy baking curtis’ grandma’s sweet rolls for breakfast on Christmas. They rose over night and I popped them in the oven this morning. Waiting for a friend to drop by for her present. Also have a couple cookie trays to deliver. DD and her DH are working today, so the oldest granddaughter will drop the other 3 off when she heads to work at noon. So the boys won’t be left fighting with each other and the minion bossing them about. So, I have a couple hours to myself. DH is out having coffee with his cronies!
We had a magnificent sunrise this morning and now is quite cloudy. Headed for 50ish and obviously no snow this year. We need moisture so we don’t burn up this next summer.
Hoping everyone enjoys their Christmas Eve celebrations!

Happy Christmas Eve, Cherries!
I woke up yesterday with some relief in my ears, and it seems to be holding so far today. It's not great by any means, but there is improvement, so I'll take it. I can actually hear in my right ear!!!!
I've been baking like mad since yesterday. I've finished the peanut butter cookies, the shortbread cookies, the oatmeal cookies, the thumbprint cookies, the decorated sugar cookies, and the chocolate chip cookies. Today, all I have left are a few easy treats -- mini cupcakes, Rice Krispies treats, and a batch of chocolate chip cookies WITHOUT the chocolate chips (we have two in our family that can't have chocolate so I make a special batch for them).
After today, I don't want to be anywhere near a kitchen for at least a week!
Have a great day ALL!

Merry Christmas Eve! I surprised myself yesterday by actually doing all the cleaning that needed doing except lol cleaning out the fridge. Today only baking is pie crust cinnamon rolls for my sons. Christmas here won’t b until 4pm tomorrow night so I’ll make the Apple brownies tomorrow morning.
Laura, not quite the same but grocery sells candy baking chips in quite a few other flavors than chocolate. Cinnamon, butterscotch, peppermint, peanut butter etc.
It’s cold grey and rainy here which is right for Christmas. I feel like that’s about right for the quiet Christmas’s we have now with just a few old people getting together for dinner. But I do miss the huge loud family we used to b. My MIL lived in a double wide mobile home the last 15 years of her life and we had Christmas dinner there every year. 20-25 people, a lot of them kids, jammed into her kitchen and living room eating and laughing. Sigh lol. I know, I’m getting old.
have a joyous and wonderful Tuesday!!!

Merry Christmas Eve to all my Cherry Friends. Our oldest daughter, her DH and Emma arrived Sunday along with their two dogs, Sven and Evie. They are both so sweet. Sven is a pit bull and the biggest baby and also thinks he is a lap dog. Evie is a pit bull/greyhound mix. They've been very well behaved.
They all left a little while ago to head to Delaware to spend time with my DD's in-laws. The plan is for them to spend the night but DD's FIL is not a fan of animals and will probably freak out if one or both jumps up on the furniture. You're either an animal lover or not. So I gave them a key to the house, and they might show up here tonight instead of tomorrow morning.
Stacie and Emma will be doing most of the cooking so I can relax. We will now be having 14 for dinner.
I hope everyone has a blessed holiday!! xoxoxxo

Holly, I would totally forget my head if it wasn’t attached! So I can relate to you forgetting your cards and forgetting to take pictures of your ornaments!!! Why not take pictures of the person holding the ornament and then get close ups of the ornaments? That would make a fun layout!
I’m glad you’re going to be with your family! And I’m itching to scrap too!!! Have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Charlene, I also miss the big family gatherings too. The holidays have really changed. But it’s still about being with family and friends even though those groups unfortunately get smaller as we grow older. Enjoy the boys and the cinnamon rolls and the apple brownies!

How fun that your DD and her family and fur babies are visiting this week!!! My DD had a pit bull mix and as you mentioned he was such a sweet dog! Much nicer than her Shih-Tzu who was a complete b**!! Lol! I know you’re enjoying having them there even if they’re not there tonight. Or will they???
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!!!

Hello Cherries!!! Merry Christmas Eve!!!!!
It’s FINALLY stopped raining and blowing here. But not for long. We’re under a high wind warning again. And rain which is good because if these storms brought us snow we’d be buried in about 8-12 feet!!! No thanks!!! Lolol!
We are decorating today. Normally I’d have this done at least a couple of weeks ago! But this year is so different and so much better than the others up here!!! I will get pictures as soon as we’re done!
Gotta go help Steve! Have a fabulous Christmas Eve!!!!

We haven't had a white Christmas in quite some time...can't remember when. Sounds like the cooking baking is in full gear.
