Scrap a Day, December 1st

Hey Cherries. Hard to believe it is the first of December already. Today it is 10 years since losing my dad. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years.

On a happier note my internet came back yesterday and I was make to get on the Skype family call. It was fun and nice to see my nephew and niece and little great niece since they live upstate and we haven’t seen them for a while. They are expecting in January so they hosted a Baby Sprinkle and we played Baby Jeopardy. It was fun.

It is cold today. Our wind chill is 19 and I’m glad I don’t have anywhere to go today. Just going to stay in, stay cozy, and work on opening and sorting all the packages of Christmas presents that keep coming in. I love online shopping. Lol.

Hope you all have a great day.

Hi, Barb, Glad you were able to make your skype call work. Technology can be so frustrating sometimes.

Just chilling for now. I can’t believe it’s December either. Got all the advent stuff to my daughter’s yesterday for the grandkids. They were up to their elbows building a float for the parade of Lights last evening. I ran to Hobby Lobby to get more wrapping paper since all things Christmas were 50% off.
Todays plans include putting the fall decor away and mopping floors and cleaning my living room. Then I can start Christmas decorating.
Looks decent out , but it is chilly. Only 11F. Snow from 10 days ago still on the ground as it hasn’t warmed up nearly enough to melt it away.

Happy Sunday, all!

I'm sorry about the loss of your Dad, Barb. Even after 10 years, I'm sure it's hard. The family skype and sprinkle sounds fun!

I did a craft show yesterday. I priced my mini high because I kind of didn't want to part with it, but it wouldn't have mattered, anyway. We had our area's first snow--it snowed at the beginning of the craft show straight through the end and beyond! All day long...so we had very very few patrons. I am working on a post to share the mini, it's so cute.

I am home surrounded by the pretty snowfall, DD is sick so I am home with her while DH and DS go to church. They started decorating while I was gone, so I am going to tackle some of that, too. And laundry to start the week off. If I scrap at all, it will be to clean up my scrap space!!

Baby Sprinkle?! Sounds so cute, Barb! 🥰 I'm glad that your Internet started working again and that you got to talk to your family! 😊
Staying in sounds like a good idea! 😄 I know it's cold up there! 😉
So nice that you've been able to get so much shopping done! Lol I love online shopping, too! 😅
(I Hope you're not too sad today! HUGS!!!) 🍒❤️☺️

Good morning Cherries, glad your internet came back in time for your Skype call Barb.

Moving slow this morning!!!  Had wine with the hubby last night while we built a gingerbread house. Was lots of fun but now I am dragging!!!  Need to comment on November entries, pick winners and get December challenges up. This month went by sooooo fast!!  I am happy to say though that the house is completely decorated, all Christmas shopping is done and all presents wrapped. Just need to do a couple things for my book club holiday get together next week and I'm done.  It will be nice to enjoy the rest of the time leading up to Christmas with a lot less stress. Tomorrow starts Elf on the Shelf with my classroom littles so that will be fun too.

Have a great Sunday everyone  😊

Hey Cherries 😊 it's definitely cold today! We had some snow last night - just a few inches- it's gorgeous but it's cold! 😂 I have to start moving around and getting ready for work soon. I JUST protests mornings sometimes! 😂 And yes! I stayed up too late reading again!
I did NOT want to get out of bed this morning - but my fur babies were all waiting for their breakfast so that's motivation! 😂 I'm slow moving and having some coffee. I work at 12 and sometimes this time of the year is JUST hard for me. 🤷🏻 I've got my sunlamp going but I do wish I was off today! Lol! The urge to get back under the blankets is strong today! 😂 😂 😂
I can't believe it's December 1st ALREADY! 👀😂🤷🏻😊 I think I got 7 layouts done last month, a few cards and some art journaling! I am looking forward to checking out the new challenges later when I get the chance! I REALLY need to do more tidying up in my space but it is what it is for right now! 😂 (I put some stamps away yesterday but that's as far as I got!)  I STILL need to work on my holiday cards!
I'm gonna post my Spend Smart Stash Bust Challenge, and try to get my notifications to load. (Sometimes they don't on my phone. 🤷🏻 Technology doesn't like me too much! 😂)
Have a great day, Cherries! 🍒 ❤️☺️

Aww Ann-Marie! Sorry you didn't get much of a crowd for your craft show, but hopefully the next one will get a bigger crowd! 😁 Looking forward to seeing your minis!

Good morning! I've been up since 5am - again!!  So frustrating!  Mostly because I know tomorrow I will be dragging.  And I have lots to do at work due to end of the year stuff.

I need to get a roast or something in crockpot soon.  And I'm hoping to put up the tree and window lights today.  This week I will be making my Christmas shopping list.  I don't like this age for the kids (17-23).  All they really want are gift cards.  It's easy shopping but I try to find fun, unique ways to wrap them up.  At least I can buy fun toys for my granddaughter.  But even that is limited.  They are still in a small apartment.  And baby girl is soooo spoiled!  Being the 1st grandchild on both sides means LOTS of presents.  I don't want to overwhelm them with having to find a place to put things.  And thanks to her Mom, my daughter, she has one heck of a wardrobe!  lol.
Books are on the list of course.  So I will be looking online for fun ideas.

I have a couple of little things I need to get done today.  Other than that, I will be at my desk, hibernating and REALLY trying to finish up our NOLA album.  Just a few more pics to work on.  The goal is still by the end of December.

Have a great day!

Spoiling grand babies is the best!  Ours are getting to the age that all they want are gift cards.

Very brisk to say the least.  It was only 21 when I got up at 6.  I think our high today is 35.  Brrr.....  We have sunshine but no white stuff thankfully.  Our former home south of Buffalo in Hamburg, NY has almost 2 feet of snow.  They were shoveling out the seats at the Bills stadium for the game today.  I am working on stowing fall stuff and pulling out the Christmas.  It is a process...

I'm so glad you got to Skype with your nephew and your niece and great niece!  That sounds like it would have been a great time.  :)  I'd be doing the same as you in that cold weather Barb!!!  Have fun dealing with the Christmas presents!  It's so much fun to open the boxes even when you know what's in them.  :)

{{{HUGS}}} too.  My Mom passed 10 years ago this year too.  It's incredible how much I still miss her!  I'm sure you feel the same way about your Dad.

Have fun Christmas decorations Leslee!  We still have snow on the ground too even though it's been above freezing for 2 days AND it POURED rain all night last night!  Crazy!  And it's incredible how fast the year has flown by!
