Scrap a Day, November 30th

Hey Cherries. Cold today. We had our first dip into the 20s early this morning and won’t come out of the 30s today. My internet is down again. It has been dropping off and on since we had the problem in October that was supposedly fixed. We have constant drops streaming tv and last night it dropped right at the end of an OT college football game that DS was watching. This afternoon I’m supposed to go on a family Skype that my nephew and niece upstate are hosting and now I don’t think I’ll be able to join. It is so aggravating. I’m glad I did all my Black Friday shopping yesterday without a problem.
Other plans for today are to go out this afternoon to support my favorite gift shop for small business Saturday. I go every year and hope to find some unique Christmas gifts. Then home to open all the packages that were delivered yesterday.
Last day of the month and still no scrapping from me. Sigh. Hoping to get back to it next month.
Have a great day Cherries.

What a bummer, Barb! We were watching that crazy overtime game too. Never saw anything like it before. Cold here today also, but sunny. Off to spend the day shopping with my daughters. I will be choosing TT winners this evening!

Good morning! It's pretty cold here too - right now it's 16 degrees, but the sun is shining. I already ran out to do my errands this morning. Now I plan on hibernating for the rest of the day.
Last night we went out for more Christmas lights. The tree and a few little things are all I have left to do for decorating. So happy I managed to get everything else done yesterday.
While we were out, I picked up more bird seed and peanuts for the squirrels and birds. I love watching to see who is going to visit! So far I have had sparrow, blue jays and cardinals and 2 others I have not been able to identify yet. i would really love one of those bird feeders with the camera.
I have begun the daunting task of cleaning up my scraps from previous projects. This is the worst part of this hobby. I have a feeling it's going to take most of the day to figure out how to organize them all. I let it get way out of hand.
I hope everyone stays warm!
Have a great day!

Good Saturday morning,!
I am going to be mixed up with what day it is for the next week.
We had freezing fog yesterday all day and all the trees were beautiful. When I got up early this morning, it seems to be gone with much warmer temps. And yes, 33F is warmer. Seems cloudy and dull out right now.
My DD, oldest granddaughter and I enjoyed the movie yesterday. So, I play catch up today and will be wrapping up little advent gifts for the minions. Her big siblings just get like a calendar to open. Also the elf box needs to be wrapped up too, since he arrives DEc. 1. Can't believe that is tomorrow. Time is just flying. So, that is my plan for today.
Thankfully had leftovers for dinner last night with me getting home late from the movie. Have to figure out something for tonight.
Not sure if scrapping is in my day, we shall see. Have a couple of sewing projects I am working on too.

Awww Barb! I feel your Internet pain! It's not the same exactly, but since they switched Wi-Fi services - then switched it back - my living room TV doesn't want to connect sometimes. It can take an hour to connect at times! CRAZY! I have to constantly "forget" that connection and then retype the password but it's annoying when you want to do things, like check the weather!
So I hope you can get yours sorted out sooner rather than later! I hope it at least works for your family chat!!!
Shopping for gifts sounds like a wonderful plan for the day! I do love giving gifts!
Nice, too, to have packages to open!
I haven't scrapped much this month, either!
Lol and I STILL have to start my holiday cards!
Stay blessed, Sweet Barb!

Lol, you sports fan are kind of making me wish I'd watched the game now, too!
It's partly sunny and cold here, Vicki! I hate to say cold when it ALWAYS get colder!
Enjoy spending time with your daughters today!
That sounds like a nice way to spend the day!
Looking forward to seeing your winners for the Turkey Trot challenges! I only got to do 4 of them, but I had a great time, and I loved the party, too!
Stay blessed, Vicki!

Have a great day!
My late DH and I used to feed the squirrels, and the birds, too lol it was so nice to see the different ones!
I hope someone gets you one of those bird feeders with a camera! You deserve it, Wendy!
Congrats on getting all your holiday decorations together - I ALWAYS loved doing at LEAST a tree!
(I mainly don't have a tree now because we have so many cats running around - it would be an all day job picking it up all day!
)
AND: LOL at your scraps! If you could see my area, you would LOL at ME!
I'm good about picking up scraps, but SOOOO bad about putting away paints and mediums, bottles of sequins and little bitty bits and gosh, stamps and stencils
I ALMOST NEVER put my stamps up because I guess I think I'll keep using them on things or IDK JUST like to have them around!
And then stickers and other embellishments... Well it is what it is!
At LEAST our messes remind us of how MUCH joy we have doing our hobbies, right?!
I Soo need to tidy up more, Wendy! I've been doing a little at a time because I let it get out of hand, too!
I Hope you have a lovely day, Wendy!

Your sewing is FABULOUS, Leslee!
Perhaps one day I'll break down and pay someone to teach me, as I don't sew well at all! Lol it took me THIS MANY years to learn to go slow- and on my little hand held sewing machine, I have to REALLY remind myself to go slow!
I'm glad y'all enjoyed the movie!
We had leftovers for dinner, too!
I hope you get all the advent calendars squared away! Great gift ideas!
Have a blessed day, Leslee!

Hey Cherries
I don't work until 5- it's my short day lol! I stayed up late reading and slept in this morning.
I would like to do a scrappy project but not sure if I will. I've been slowly tidying up a little at a time and LOL I MEAN it's STILL a LOT of stuff here!
I NEED to start on my holiday cards- JUST NEED to motivate!
I've been having coffee and catching up around here lol I'm a chatty Kathy this morning!
Stay blessed, DCs!

Happy Saturday Cherries! DH and I are a bit off on what day it is too. Not a fan of Holidays in the middle of a work week.
Up early again to run to Sam's Club to stock up on essentials. Home to unload, and now just doing my usual Saturday stuff (laundry, cleaning up my office, put papers away, etc). Later, DH's aunt and uncle will come over to visit and go out to eat. DH's uncle LOVES our local Mexican restaurant over what he gets in town, so it's an excuse to see us. LOL. Then we will relax the rest of the evening.
Have a lovely day y'all!

Good morning. Sunny but hazy and cold. Down to the mid 30’s last night outside and 58 in the house this morning. Had plans to go to a craft fair thingie today but going tomorrow instead cause FedEx delivering a package today that requires an adults signature. lol. Small bottle fancy craft whiskey for my DYS for Christmas. He likes to try stuff like that. Usually one sip is enough and then bottle goes into his locked liquor cabinet to be forgotten.
so going to get all my paints and sprays and etc out and try painting rocks today. House is still fairly tidy . A bit of turkey and gravy still left too. Guess I’m set for the day .
have a less than snarky Saturday.

Oh Barb! I hope your internet connection comes back in time for your Skype call!!! Can you go somewhere else and sign in and still be able to connect? I didn’t scrap a lot this month either but I worked on our Christmas cards. There were so many more challenges that I wanted to do! {{{HUGS}}}

A bird feeder with a camera would be so awesome!!! We had 2 kinds of wild green parrots that came to our feeder in Florida. They were so much fun!!! I would have loved a camera on it!
Hibernating in this weather is the best idea! Lol!
As for scraps, I’ve had to learn to get brutal with them. I started out keeping anything that was big enough for me to journal on them. But they just kept accumulating and it got overwhelming. Now they have to be big enough to use to cut something on my Silhouette. I also keep my scraps with my main paper storage. That way I’m not automatically cutting a full sheet unless I don’t have the right size scraps. Hope this helps!

Hey Cherries! It’s only 28F here today. Brrrrr!!! I’m supposed to cook our Thanksgiving dinner today but it’s 10:15 and Steve hasn’t brought the turkey over from the house refrigerator yet. I didn’t have room for it in the cabin fridge. So I have to see if it’s thawed enough to cook today. If not I’ll cook it tomorrow and we’ll have venison stew tonight.
I didn’t do much of anything yesterday. Basically I did a couple of chores, ate my awful pie and the burnt brownie crusts and watched tv - the football game and The Wizard of Oz original version. I love that movie! I always wanted to wear the good witch Glenda’s beautiful outfit! Lol!
Today I need to do some laundry and work on our Christmas letter and the card envelopes. Maybe I can squire in one more layout too. Can’t believe tomorrow’s December 1st!!!! Wow!!!
Have an awesome day dear Cherries!!!

Good afternoon! Although we had Thanksgiving dinner prepared by my stepson's wife, my friend awarded us with a free turkey. Not one to waste food, I am making the turkey today. The older I get the more difficult it is. My back and legs are burning! I don't know how you other DC's do it along with baking multiple pies. I hope I'm strong enough to take photos of the final dinner. Even though I'm a scrapbooker, neither of us took a shower today and I'm still in my jammies. So there will be no photos of us. Maybe I can take photos tomorrow when we are watching the Eagles game and eating leftovers.
I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving and got some great deals on the Black Friday sale!
