Hey Cherries. Thank you to Brandy and Susan for posting for me the past few days. I have not read any of your posts yet as I have not been on the boards, but they have told me about all the love and prayers coming from the Cherries. I will read them all first chance I get. My mom took a sudden turn for the worse. One minute we were at Costco and Kohls and going to her doctor, and the next minute she’s at the ER and the hospital, and now suddenly in Hospice. All within just the past two weeks. For those of you that maybe missed my post a few months ago, my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the beginning of August. This came out of left field as she has been amazing and healthy at 93 years old. Still living on her own. No one expected this. Even her doctor was shocked. At 93 she declined any treatment and was doing ok for a bit. But the disease took over and now all we can do is do our best to keep her comfortable. We would have loved for her to be home, but the care she needs it is much better for her to be in in patient hospice. The place is amazing. It’s not very close, it is pretty much at the Queens border, but it is worth the trip every day to know she is safe and in a calm environment and being taken care of and being kept comfortable. Today I got to sleep in a little because I can go a little later and not have to deal with rush hour traffic coming home. I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and hugs. I have not been able to read them yet, but I certainly do feel them. The Cherries are the best.
I hope you all have a wonderful day.

So many many hugs Barb. Continued prayers for you and your family. It is a bit of comfort that she is in such a good place, and they are very comforting to the patients and family during the most difficult circumstances.

Oh Barb! I know exactly what that’s like as a similar thing happened with my mom 11 years ago. You and your mom and your family are in my prayers. One day at a time and take care of yourself too! {{{HUGS}}} and prayers my friend!
