Scrap a Day, October 15th

Hey Cherries. We dipped down to 43 degrees this morning and not coming out of the 50s today. Looks like I am going to have to break out the socks and ankle boots today. Taking my mom to an appointment with her doctor and need to make a stop or two on the way home. Don’t think I’ll be doing any scrapping today.
Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning,
It was also down to 43 this morning. I gave up and turned the heat on. It's also raining, so it's making it even more miserable. What a yucky day...
I finished a page last night. It took me most of the night because I was determined to use scraps and I had trouble matching up what I wanted. But it's done, so yay...lol.
We are all dealing with allergies and stuff at home. Jason stayed home from school - he's absolutely miserable. I have steak fajitas in the crock pot for tonight. I do need to make a quick trip to the grocery store - that stinks!
Then I think I can work on another page. I already know what I want to do with it, it's just going to be a bit time consuming, so may as well get it started.
Have a great day!

Only 49 degrees here currently. Really cooled off quick. Made our morning run to the grocery store and now having some lunch. The HVAC reps will be here to check our system at noon. Then, I'll be working on a challenge and the TT Event.

How are we halfway through October already? So many challenges I want to do and baseball season is interfering LOL! I would love to be "Just a fan" and stay home and watch the games. I'm trying to get as much done as possible today because I have to work the next three days. Mets & Dodgers are tied 1 game to 1 and it's the best of 7 series. So...we definitely have to work the next 3 games at home. I'm already exhausted. And I have so much copy editing to do before the end of this month and have way less time than I thought I was going to have. Who knew we'd get this far lol? I'm gonna freeze my butt off the next three days! As for scrapping, I started Sketch 397 and ironically it's a Mets themed page.

Good morning cherries. Sorry y'all had to break down and turn on the heat. We broke a record yesterday and hit 97. At least our mornings are nice (lower/upper 60s), so we're slowly getting there. Looking forward to a front that is supposed to make it this far south tomorrow. One more HOT day today, and tomorrow should only be 80 for the high!
Yesterday was a M.O.N.D.A.Y.
I was so freakin' brain dead that other than putting together a salad for dinner and warming up some rolls, did nothing except pop that cork and pour myself a glass of wine, which was filled to the rim!
Went on my walk, unloaded dishwasher and vacummed our bedroom. Threw doggie blankets into the washer and did an upgrade to fix quite a few "issues". Hopefully today is alot quieter.
Have a great day everyone.

Mmm, steak fajitas sound delicious! Hope Jason feels better soon. Allergies are no joke

Thanks, Holly! Well I got a doctor's note (I feel like I am in junior high saying that LOL) for my back pain so that should get me out of pushing the wheelchairs. I don't mind doing 3 or 4 a day but 7 was a bit much (call on the bros! Leave the old lady alone!) and that's what did it. Also the stadium was so crowded that it was all stop and go and that's hard on the back. The Wed and Thursday games don't start til 8pm and roll call is 5pm so that's going to be a long night. Friday's game is 4pm with a 2pm roll call, so at least it won't be all night. I can maybe enjoy the 6th and 7th innings LOL. 7th inning stretch is my favorite part of the games LOL with all the songs and things they do during the commercials. I'm doing a page about all the silly good luck charms that have been going on this year so I don't forget "the vibe"...Grimace, the OMG song/sign, and Pete Alsono and his playoff pumpkin lol. I'm glad I switched to 8x11 albums because now I can just pop finished pages in and they don't pile up...as much...LOL!

I feel for you Anne-Marie. It's like yay! I want them to win but boo! I don't want to have to go to work. Lol. And yes who knew they would get this far! Go Mets!

Thanks, Barb! I'm really of two minds lol - the fan in me just wants to stay home and watch them but...it's an "all hands on deck" situation and if you don't put in to work they want to know WHY and "I don't want to" is not a reason
So there are these three games at home and if the series is still going there will be Watch Parties on the 20th and 21st. Those will only be about 10-15K people so not that bad (omg, I have a job where I think helping 10K people is "not a lot of people" LOL!) instead of 40-44K people! So I don't want to wish them to lose but I'm tired LOL!
And yes! We lost the first 5 games of the season and everybody wrote them off. Plus we got rid of "superstar" players and got written off yet here we are. Crazy Mets fans & Grimace lol.

Hey Cherries
it's a bit cool here today, though it doesn't seem to be as cold as yesterday!
I'm glad of that!
My nose is a little runny this morning and that's annoying LOL!
I was in after work fog when I came home last night and didn't get crafty, but I wanted to!
I'm a little annoyed that work is taking up so much of my time, but we need the extra money right now.
I'd like to slow time down JUST a little! I'm NOT sure where the days are going, but October is flying by!
Im'm looking forward to finishing my spread for the art journal and getting it posted and mailed this week. My only other day off is Thursday and we're supposed to take the twins (Shadow and Jazz) to get neutered and I'm debating on seeing if I can reschedule that appointment because the truck (and car) are STILL not fixed. He's made a lot of headway on his truck and needs special bolts.
I do have a funny story though: all the cats gather around him while he's working on his truck, and he went out there to find two mice waiting for him by his truck!
Cat's gifts!
Maybe they think he's trying to catch mice?! IDK but it's awfully funny to us!
Have a great day, Cherries! I work later and have some chores to attend to!

I hear ya about the back pain - ever since my wreck it has spasms and locks up and stuff sometimes and it creates a challenge. ( I ate a lot of muscle relaxers when I first went back to work.) I truly hope the DR note helps, and I hope that your back eases up!
It's awesome to have work that you enjoy!
YES to 8 1/2 x 11! I LOVE being able to use regular binders- I have plans to decorate some plain ones, and will buy cute ones sometimes. Definitely a little easier to store, too!

Nice day here in low 80’s. Dropping 10 degrees tomorrow and chance of rain but not a big chance. It was a fantastic day up in the foothills yesterday. We had a wonderful time in the apple orchards and craft stands. Ate lunch at a small pub in the little town near Apple Hill. Went into the oldest hardware store continuously open/in business in the western U. S. (1848). I frequently shop there for Christmas because one side is all hardware store and other side is an emporium with the greatest kitchen implements section.
nothing much today. A trip to the drugstore to pick up Rx refills and that’s it. One of my brothers shipped me an old bookcase that he says was made by a great uncle of ours for our mother. It is handmade with real wood and nails appropriate for the time but the skill is seriously lacking to be made by Uncle David. The man was a skilled artisan and carpenter. Still though might b a good winter project for me to try and restore it.
have a terrific Tuesday

(((Hugs))) I hear you about needing to work for the extra money and not having the energy to scrap! We're in the same boat! I have an idea for the Tag challenge and can't even get it together for that. Of course I am looking all over my stash for an embellishment that would be PERFECT for the layout I'm working on but don't know where it is. Don't you hate that?

Hi Cherries! I’m taking it kinda easy today. I posted a tribute to my mom on Facebook yesterday. She’s been gone 11 years and sometimes it feels like she just passed. Anyway it stirred up drama with my brother and a family friend and I finally had to delete both of their comments which made them more mad. I’ve NEVER deleted comments from my page! Anyway I’m so very glad my daughter agreed with me that the happier thoughts and memories are the things to remember which was a huge relief. It just made a tough day even worse. But I made it through and now I’m trying to put myself back on track.
I really wanted to scrap yesterday but I just couldn’t figure out what to do. So I think I need to plan a couple of projects and have them ready so I don’t have to think quite so hard. Lol!
We had a great weekend with Jeff and Joe. They went hunting but never saw a deer. So they went duck hunting and got a small duck which Joe was super excited about eating. Lol! Boys! And Joe absolutely LOVED his Davy Crockett coonskin hat! I knew he would! A couple of great layouts will come from those pictures!
And some of the house lamps and all of the albums I ordered will be here this week so I have fun things to look forward to.
Right now I need to do some cleaning Jin the cabin and then go over to the house and see what I can do to help over there.
Hope everyone has a good evening!!!
