Hey Cherries. Getting some rain this morning. Hopefully enough to get all my flowers watered. Nothing on my agenda today except for laundry. And I’m happy to announce… I have cleaned my scrap room! I even did step one of the progressive challenge. Just need a pic which I’ll get today. Then I’m going to start working on some of the WCMD challenges.

Have a great day Cherries.

I cleaned my desk yesterday, too! Still have one table full of stuff to put in it's place, but most of my scrap area is clean.  YAY!
I did a few  cards and a couple of DT assignments yesterday as well.  I actually got quite a bit done while my hubby screamed at the TV while the Texans were playing. It is a goal of mine to get my hubby and Dad together to watch a game, just once.  They both scream at the TV like those guys can hear them!

I think we are due for some rain today too. I feel like Harry Potter - all my scars are itchy LOL!  Yesterday I was such a bro. I watched the Jets in the morning (they played in London) and they lost. I watched the Mets in the afternoon/evening and they lost. This means there are games at Citi Field on Tues & Wed and I already said I'd work them. Was kind of hoping they'd sweep so I wouldn't have to work Wed. But DD wanted them to lose today so she COULD work Wed lol. Anyway, I didn't get much copy editing done yesterday so I have to concentrate on that today. Barb, you reminded me I have to upload the pic of my progressive kit! Thanks LOL! My scrap area is a mess because  I have ideas for like 3 or 4 different layouts and there is just stuff all over the place. Plus, we still need to decorate for Halloween so that will probably be done today also.

Good morning cherries! I had another super busy weekend. Really not mentally prepared for today to be Monday! 😂

Saturday, I got all the laundry and cleaning done in the morning, as well as wrapping Jasper's gifts. At noon, we headed over to their house and got the BEST NEWS! Jasper got his G-Tube taken out the day before! Woo-hoo!!! What an awesome bday present, huh?! He's healing nicely - just not a fan of the guaze wrapped around his little mid-section.

My brother and SIL ordered pizza to make it easy. We ate, sang Happy Birthday to Mr. Jasper and he enjoyed his cake too. My SIL got him a small Oreo Cookie Choc. Cake from the bakery. Boy was it SWEET! 😜  But the boys loved it! He got lots of presents too. Lots of toys!

We got home around 6pm and relaxed. I slept in a bit yesterday and after breakfast, we headed into town. DH wanted to stop at Academy and I wanted to go to Kohl's. I had $55 Kohl's cash that was going to expire PLUS a 40% off coupon. I got a bunch of clothes for the boys for Christmas. 3 outfits each for the 3 littles, a couple of shirts and a pair of jeans for Draven, books for all 4 of them and fuzzy robes for the 3 littles as well. Saved $230! Whew! AND got more Kohl's Cash 😄

Got home to make homemade granola bars for the week and made up a list for the rest of Christmas for the boys. I cleaned up my scrap room, then pulled out stuff for Progressive Step 1 and took pictures so I could upload this morning. I also put the finishing touches on a layout I started 9 days ago. I need to upload that too.

Went on my walk this morning, threw doggie blankets in the washer. Still need to vacuum the living room. Work as always, with a break at lunch. I was invited to a casual lunch with the DAR ladies here in Corpus. So at 11am, I'll start getting ready so I can be out the door by 11:30. It's at a restraunt in town, at noon. The lady who invited me is still working on my application.

Hope everyone has a great.

good morning!

We had such a great time at the pumpkin patch yesterday.  It was sooo windy, but the baby had a blast and we have some amazing pictures too.  I just need to remind myself that I do NOT need to print them all!  lol!
On the downside, I'm not sure if it's allergies or a cold, but I am all stuffed up and having a rough morning.  I need to buy more tissues...lol.

Today should be a slow day.  I brought my NOLA pics with me again.  Hoping to weed them out or figure out some layouts for them.
the clock is ticking on my "finish by Christmas" timeline.

Jason wants me to go with him to PT tonight.  It stinks because it's 2 hours out of my night.  He has his license and can drive himself - he's just a weenie sometimes...lol

Have a great day!

I mean, it was fun - I got a lot of cross-stitching done LOL but I then started to feel guilty that I could/should have been copy editing. But I kinda needed a day off so...there's that. The work/life balance when you work at home --- the struggle is real!

I'm back!!!  Super happy to escape FL before the next hurricane.  Tired, jet lagged and lots to catch up on.
Plus today is the minion's 5th birthday.  Need to go and find her a birthday cake.  Thankfully I did most of her shopping before I headed on my adventure.  Playing catch up today.  Paid bills.  Changed sheets.  Washing towels too, And just doing all my laundry too.
Hopefully soon I can get to creating again.

aagh. I feel like I’m living in a horror movie.  The ants are back x 100!  Had a couple quiet day with an occasional one here and there but  today they are everywhere in the kitchen even inside the closed tight lidded garbage can!   and I have had a couple flies too so I spent time cleaning a bit yesterday even though it was Sunday.  I have lived in this house 47 years and never this bad with bugs.  I even saw a cockroach in the hall twice last month but I immediately freaked and killed them both.  I don’t mind spiders so don’t even notice if they’re in the house but the rest of this invasion is freaking me out.

I sweep and dust daily.   I clean the kitchen after I cook.  I do dishes daily.  I empty out the fridge and clean it twice a year.   I don’t know what else to do.  My DH used to spray some stuff around the foundation a couple times a year. I wonder if my sons know what that is?  I hate bugs and am seriously starting to freak out.

ick. But on a lighter note, loving all the cards in the gallery.  Even managed to do a couple challenges myself yesterday.   Hoping to get more done today too.  Fingers crossed.
have a quiet bug free Monday!!

Gotta love Kohl's cash! I just placed an order yesterday for Christmas clothes for the grands. Had a 40% off coupon and over $100 in Kohl's cash, and made more Kohl's cash! I literally got Aiden a pair of $90 Nikes back in August for around $9. August is a big birthday shopping month so I place a big order for JJ's birthday, get Kohl's cash for that, then place a big birthday order for Aiden using that Kohl's cash, then placed an order for the Nikes, which were on sale, using that Kohl's cash. Now on to Christmas. lol.
