FIRST AND FOREMOST, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED, AND A HUGE THANKS FOR BEING RECEPTIVE TO MY CHALLENGE IDEA. I WORRIED IT WAS A BIT MUCH, BUT I JUST LOVED THE IDEA OF GIVING VIRTUALLY EVERYONE AN OPTION! YOU ALL DID A FANTASTIC JOB!
THE RANDOMLY CHOSEN WINNER IS . . . RHONDA (WIMOM)! CONGRATS TO HER!
Here's the story . . . of a lovely lady. Who was bringing up three very lovely girls.
One very lucky, randomly chosen participant of this Layout Challenge will receive the BIRDS AND BEES BUNDLE generously provided by Photoplay! Here is the prize:
Warning: This may be the longest, most worded Challenge ever. But I promise it's fun and all inclusive!
Welcome to Flasher's Brady Bunch Challenge! For this Challenge I want you to create a layout inspired by one of my all-time favorite shows, The Brady Bunch. How will you be inspired, you ask? Well, below is a list of prompt/choices. Simply choose one option and then get to crafting!
1. The Brady Bunch. Create a layout based on the grid graphic from the show intro.
2. Mike Brady, Architect. Create a layout that either (a) features something architectural, such as a bridge, building, monument, etc. You could even scrap your child's Lego creation; or (b) is created using elements or features of architecture, such as blocks, geometric designs, etc.
3. Carol Brady, "Tell it like it is, Mrs. Brady." That was the line said to Carol when she submitted a manuscript to a publisher. For this prompt, I want to see a layout with a very heavy focus on the story/journaling. It can be about anyone or anything, just make sure we can see your "manuscript"!
3. Greg Brady, Surfer Dude. Create a layout that prominently features the ocean, the sea, the shoreline, the beach, etc. Scrap any activity, just make sure we get that beachy feel!
4. Marcia Brady, "Oh, my nose!". Create a layout that features a boo-boo. (Let's not get too graphic here.) It could be when you got a vaccine, when someone got a cast, when a little one got an x-ray, when a child lost a tooth.
5. Peter Brady, "Pork chops and applesauce." When Peter wanted a new personality, he decided to take inspiration from an old black and white movie featuring Humphrey Bogart. For this choice, create a layout that is predominately black and white, at least 75%.
6. Jan Brady, "The New Jan Brady." Remember when Jan got a new short, black wig to stand out from her sisters? Create a layout that features a new physical change. Could be a new hair cut, a new hair color, braces on, braces off, getting your ears pierced, getting a tattoo.
7. Bobby Brady, The Winner. Bobby desperately wanted a trophy like his siblings. Create a layout that features someone winning something -- or at least trying to win something. Could be a sports competition, could be a spelling be, karaoke contest, etc.
8. Cindy Brady, "Baby talk, baby talk it's a wonder you can walk!" When Cindy is bullied because of her lisp, her family gives her a book of tongue twisters to help. Create a layout with an alliterative title (the homeschool mom in me was just dying to bust out that word). It can be about anyone or anything, but the title must be alliterative like "Bubble Blowing Baby", "Silly Skater", "Mom Musings", etc.
9. Alice, THE Housekeeper. Create a layout that features someone doing something domestic like vacuuming, ironing, hanging out clothes, washing the car, painting a room, cooking a meal, baking a cake, etc.
10. YOUR OWN BRADY BUNCH! If you, or another member of your family, belongs to your own Brady Bunch, let's see them and hear about them! While this option does not require and exact division of boys and girls, let's say that the bunch must equal at least 8 total in the family unit!
RULES:
1. This challenge is open to both paper and digital scrappers and must be a layout. No cards, please.
2. Your layout must be a new creation.
3. Your layout must be posted TO THIS THREAD. When you submit your layout, please indicate which option you chose!
4. The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 10 at 11:59 PM.
5. May ONLY combine with the NSD 25 Item Challenge. Otherwise, NO COMBINING!
6. One entry per Cherry.
7. You must have FUN!
If you have any question, please let me know!
Here is my example -- my little peanut in her saucer seat. I drew my inspiration from the show graphic:
