Scrap a Day, May 19th

Good morning cherries! I would have been here sooner but I kept getting emails from my client. And how many were "real" problems? None!! Sigh...
So, is anybody scrapping today? Me - maybe, if DH works late. He ended up working late last night so I finished the layout I started Sunday night. Ended up liking the placement of embellies how I had them before I walked away sunday night. So I glued them down and I really like how it turned out. I need to take a pic of it and upload it to here. I then got started on another layout and took forever with it. LOL. I ended up mixing a gelato with gesso and painting the background paper. It was a tad dark, but I really wanted to use it. So with the gelato/gesso, it brightened it up. All I have left on that layout is a few more embellies and maybe a corner cluster at the top of the page. Washi, pp, and an embellie. Or a sprinkling of sequins or enamel dots. Not sure. But I'll figure it out!
How about you?

I have a two pager on my table that I was working on yesterday for Mildred's Washi Challenge. After doing my title I ended up having a washi-fest! It's getting close to being finished… I just have to print out the finals on the pics and journal and add embellishments. It's an overcast, rainy day here so I intend to stay in and scrap!

How funny! That's the challenge I was working on Sunday night and finished yesterday!

How exciting! Mixed media project! Can't wait to see it Sara! Last night's layout is partially mixed media. The gesso/gelato on pattern paper. Hoping to finish it tonight!

Here's that layout I started Sunday night.
I think I know why I struggled with embellies. The background paper is a bold/busy pattern paper. But at the time, I loved it paired with solid mats/die cuts. The embellies aren't too bad - they are raw chipboard. And I'm surprised in how well the washi/title work with this. I love it!

Super cute Brandy! You did a great job with the busy background-- you made it not be overpowering! It is awesome!!!

Brandy, I see what you mean with the background paper, quite challenging... But you sure rocked it!!
I did finish a LO this weekend but keep forgetting to upload it... And I know which challenge I want to do next. Just hoping I can get another one squeezed out before Thursday. After tomorrow, I don't go back to work until Tuesday, but we are tearing out our kitchen floor and putting down a new laminate floor. So, Thursday after my PT eval for my back I am coming home and clearing off the scrap stuff on the dining room table so we can start moving the microwave cart and other things in there, then get as much refrigerated/frozen stuff to the basement so we can move the fridge out. This is our first real "home improvement" project and I am really excited about it!
Hope everyone has a great night!

Nice layouts, Brandy and Barb! No scrapping for me today. And probably not much this week or the rest of this month! Went shopping today with a friend, really just a trip to sams and a nice Mexican restaurant for lunch ... then busy with end of school stuff...
Been in the cellar most of the evening .... watching storms roll through and waiting them out. Had several tornado warnings, but no damage here ....

Finally got a page done for Jackson's album.... I used the K&Co Itsy Bitsy Baby boy paper. I bought the pad of paper two years ago when I found out my sister in law was having a boy. Now I can't find it anywhere.

No scrapping but I did get two awesome scrapbook stamp sets from Technique Tuesday. They have some of the cutest quotes. I get a monthly stamp and die set from them and one of the scrapbook sets was free this month. My Cocoa Daisy kit finally arrived two weeks late!
