I would do this....but today I broke down 11 months of Studio Calico project life kits (even tho I don't do PL much anymore) I still get the kits cuz I love the embellies......but I was always forgetting about them in their cute lil boxes on my shelf..........sigh...but everything seems so much more accessible in lil baskets etc now I have to figure out if I can bring myself to toss the cute boxes...haha
I am not familiar with those kits or boxes, but I understand. All the chipboard alphas I have that came in those adorable boxes, can't bear to throw them out, lol. And I am all about easy accessibility. Good for you making it easier. But I am no help in getting rid of cute boxes, lol.

It is hard to break down kits. I finally did some of my cocoa daisy kits from last year. Now the product can be seen and used. If you have space I would keep the boxes. You may find a use for them.
I've never gotten those kits either, but the boxes sound cute! LOL I have my kits all broken down and don't receive any these days. I do bag up the products I buy here by little kits though. I tend to use things more if they are together as a kit.
I only received kits for about 3 months and then I stopped them. I just seemed to not be scrapping fast enough to use them and I felt like I was accumulating a lot. I used the boxes for storing cards I made, but then eventually threw them out.
I"m not sure what those boxes look like but I too love boxes and I have some of the cute wooden ones that wooden embellishments come in. Not sure what to do with them but can't possibly throw them away! They are like miniature boxes with shelves...oh what do you call those kind that you can put on walls, decorate with items in each part...hate my poor recall, but anyway, yeah, I need to find a use for them.

Lol Debbie. You are thinking of shadow boxes. Are the ones you have the ones the Prima wood veneers came in. I kept mine too. I think they would make really cute miniature shadow boxes.
I know what you mean, even though I don't have any Project Life stuff. But I used to keep all of, say October Afternoon, stuff together and then even if it matched something else I was working on, I'd forget about it. Now I have paper sorted by manufacturer (if I have enough of it) but I sort out the embellishments by what it is, not who makes it and that somehow makes it easier for me to remember what I have lol.
Happy Scrapping!

That is a big step! I think if you aren't taking the boxes out and opening them, then moving the cards to a more accessible storage solution was a very smart move!
Yes, yes, yes, that's what I was trying to say. Thankyou. Yes, I do think they are Prima.scrapy1967 wrote:Lol Debbie. You are thinking of shadow boxes. Are the ones you have the ones the Prima wood veneers came in. I kept mine too. I think they would make really cute miniature shadow boxes.

YES...I am not regretting yet....the cards are where I can see them and be inspired more by them...and the goodies are where I will see them also..........I stashed the boxes..lol im sure I will find a use for them...sigh
I'm proud of you! I have often broke down kits so that I can use them more efficiently. It's hard when they are all grouped by kit...easy to forget. BTW, the shadow box idea sounds adorable!
