our HL---the first one in Oregon--opens this morning..........debating if I want to mess with going and seeing what they have or if I should wait til the hoopla dies down.........I don't NEED anything soooooooooooooo...LOL

okkkkkkkkkkk so after some massive sensory overload.............I can say I survived an opening of a HL store!  ours is HUGE..they said that it is one of the biggest on the west coast!  so despite there being gaggles of ppl it didn't feel too bad..........it was just so much stuff to loooook at!  I did buy  $37 worth of scrappy stuff.............but I spent ummm more than that on non scrappy items...ooops...LOL
I now have it out of my system and prob wont go back for awhile.........well I prob will dash in with my coupon when the next one comes out......but other than that.....I can say I wont haunt the place :)
scrappy wise they had some neat stuff.........I like the variety.....but they are not very major brand centered and I wasn't drooling but it will still be nice to have another place to buy stuff!

If you go there's always a 40% off coupon online, you can print it or show it on your phone.

im well aware that it wont be the luscious LSS I would love to have in this town again...but I am actually more interested in their yarn..hehe  and their home décor..........as I buy 90% of my scrappy stuff online....but it will be nice to have somewhere besides Joann's to purchase essentials  :)  at this point its better than nuttin..hehe

Do they have nice yarn there or the same crap they have in Michaels and AC Moore.  Sorry but my local yarn store has spoiled me!

We don't have a Hobby Lobby here but we are going to Ohio in September and I've been to the one there and plan to go again.

Just so you know - Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays.  I think their employees are out partying with the Chick-fil-a employees.

them being closed on sundays doesn't bother me...........MANY things are closed on sundays (and even Saturdays) banks, post offices, government offices, doctors offices, hair salons, tons of mom and pop type stores etc...........you would be hard pressed to find any business in our downtown district that is open on sundays...lol

Go and enjoy the hoopla!!  Maybe there will be unadvertised opening specials and give-aways.  Wish there was a HL around New England.

Have fun...get on their mailing list for coupons.

Hobby Lobby has really good yarn.   And great deals on seasonal stuff at holidays.  I'd go just to see it.  lol

They have an app for your smart phone so you will NEVER be without a coupon. Also they always have instore sales as well. A few weeks ago ours had all of the albums on sale for 50% off. I love Hobby Lobby and am so happy we got one just in February Image So hurry up and run on out there Image
