White card stock. Upper left put a bright sun peeking out or use yellow mist and then lower right sprinkle die cut snowflakes. Does this make sense?

I lived in Longmont when I was young, so not too weird
PP....hmmm...maybe not themed but go with color schemes that go with the weather patterns to show the change.

I wouldn't used theme paper. I'd print smaller photos to give me lots of white space. Or I would do it PL style. Now I might use theme embellishments. One thing I have learned about mountains, never trust the weatherman and prepare accordingly. I've never lived in them either, just visited. Ya'll still look like you had a great time!

I have done several layouts where I cut paper in half and "seamed" it together with a strip of ribbon (or washi tape, now). I usually do this because I have double-sided paper and I want to show both sides, but it would work for this situation, I think!
Here is one example, cut diagonally:
I didn't use any ribbon over the seam on this one. I just used a strip of paper glued to the back to hold it together.
These two are reverses of each other, where I used the ribbon over the seams:
On this layout I did it because I only had one piece of the pretty heritage paper:
(They actually line up in my album...it is my scans and stitching that are wonky
)
Hope this helps!

I think a gradient effect would be cool for a page like this. I don't know if there is any gradient pp that goes from maybe a bright to dark, but maybe a digi paper printed out would work. If you did digi I would say a summery paper blending into a wintery paper would work great. LOL you probably want to hit me right now.

I think a gradient paper or papers would be great. Maybe use one paper to show the beautiful conditions at the beginning of the day, then a cloudy paper for the beginning of the storm and then a total white paper for the snow storm itself. I think using them in a vertical pattern, cut in thirds and joined together with embellies or journaling would be great. Love this story!

I like the above suggestions, especially combining two different PP - but originally thought white would work for both and add color with matting/embellies.

Yeah, I think I would play with almost 3 separate layouts...with the color transition matching the "season" of the photos. I like the idea of a white or light neutral background. Use your embellies to tell the stories! Great pictures, by the way.

Those photos say so much that honestly I would be tempted to just use rust cardstock and then the white out ones with a coordinating blue/green. Just a opinion. Good luck!

I would see how some Pine/spruce trees embellies or pp would look! I love all the above suggestions too!

those are amazing pics! I can't belive how the weather changed on you like that but you definitely have a great story to journal! you can put the color pics on one page and the snowy pic on the second and find a way to blend from one to the next - maybe browns andf blues in the first to lighter blues and grays in the second - you are the creative genius! I can't wait to see these!

I think I have actually been there, about 10 years ago. I would use a light to dark type of paper, kind of like Laura did with stitching papers together. Love the pictures and the story!

Sigh. Makes me miss COS!! (People here in IN joke about the weather changing quickly; they have no idea, lol!)
Layout-wise I'm thinking blue/grey? Good luck & can't wait to see it!
