I don't remember where I saw this, but I tried it and it works perfectly. I have a ton of these little gold buttons, now I know what to do with them.
Just cover a button with washi tape, trim around and tuck excess under the button. press to conform washi tape to the shape of the button and use a piercing tool to punch the button holes in the washi.

Yep! I used some zebra washi a few weeks ago and covered some big buttons for a zoo layout. It works great!

LOVE this idea!!!!!! A long time ago I purchased a huge bag of buttons, Christmas oriented. I have so many green I will never use them, but ahhhhhh, this will change that!!! TFS!

What a great idea! I found some washi at Staples yesterday - I'm gonna give this a try.
I have some ancient Autumn Leaves clear buttons (remember those????) and there were about 3000 in the bag. Well my washi will be great covering the clear ones. Gosh I hope I can still find them!

I love them - but I wouldn't cover those cool buttons with them - more for the junk kind you buy in a bag at Michael's. I really want to try it this afternoon!!!

OMG.....thank you, thank you, thank you!! I have so many freaking buttons (excuse my language) and now I can use them. Literally I have hundreds of buttons. I don't even use them that much. I really don't even remember buying them, but now they have a purpose. Yay!!! You made my day Jill
Very cool! I have a ton of plain black and white buttons which will be perfect for this!
Oh, neat! It looks perfect!! Thanks for sharing it
This sparks some more ideas of things that could be covered with washi, such as large brads or chipboard pieces. Sometimes you get a few in a group that you don't like and would never use. You could repurpose them by covering them in washi!
That's a great idea. I have a ton of little chipboard accents that are all just solid colors, not too exciting. Covering them with washi would be perfect! Thanks!!pawprints wrote:This sparks some more ideas of things that could be covered with washi, such as large brads or chipboard pieces.
