Printing small pics?

I do love 4x6 pics for general use, but I'm finding myself more and more wishing I had smaller pics to scrap, but the smallest pic size Walgreens offers is the 4x6 or 4x4 and only does wallets if you print 4 of the same pic, and I don't need 4 of the same so it's a waste to me. Wondering how all you ladies do it. I have some events that have several pics and I'd like to do a couple 2-page LOs and not have them all spread out over several layouts. Any ideas?? I'm wanting 3x5 or even some wallets.

If I need smaller prints, I just print what I need using my printer

I print from Walmart's website and have them shipped to my home. They do collage prints that start at the 4x6 size and go up. I like to put two on a 4x6 with a white edge and then trim down a bit, ta-da, small photos with a mat already done. They also let you choose the color of the photos, colored borders, decorative borders, etc. (just like the other sites) You can also do larger collages and then insert the photos and "shuffle" and see if they arrange to the sizes you want. The LO I just posted the other day "Merry Christmas" has two sets of these smaller photos, didn't cut them apart, just trimmed the extra white border away.

I resize them in my photo program and then paste as many as will fit onto a 4x6 and just order it in that size. When I went to pick some up one day, the girl at Walgreens asked if they were supposed to look like that.

Brandy, I don't print pics from home, I don't have color ink or paper, but that's a good idea for individual photos one might need, thanks for sharing!

ernstem, that's a good idea with trimming the collages. That's sorta what I was wanting but wasn't sure where/how to order them. Great idea!

glo, same idea, that's great. I'll have to play with mine and tweak them and see what I can come up with.

Wal Mart will print wallets and you only have to get one picture (4x6) which ends up being 2 wallet prints. I've also used the printer thing at Wal Mart has (where you can take photos in and make copies) - there is some option there that makes little teeny like 2x1?

Thanks for asking this, I hadn't thought of those ideas and I also print at walgreens, the 4 at a time is a waste for me too!

I would suggest the collages, sometimes they are even on sale. You could go bigger with more pics you have. Then you could put the whole collage on a lo or cut apart.

walgreens has a special currently, ending today, a free collage. I think I may have to do that.... :D

Thanks for the ideas ladies! (keep 'em coming if there's more!)

I while ago I found an awesome deal on Amazon for a small printer made by Polaroid it is called a POGO. You can get a pack of film 50 prints for 10.99. I paid like 60 dollars for the printer. It prints a 2x3 photo.

I do collages, too. I use picasa and then upload to Shutterfly. I put 2 or 4 photos on a 4X6, depending on my needs. 4 to a 4x6 works AWESOME for Christmas and other events where you have 100s of pics!

:) Digi enables all kinds of sizes...

But when I scrap paper I use the collage theory with my printers. I have a large 13x17 format and one of the little printers that does 4x6. I can get several small pics on the little printer.

On this paper layout the little photos down the left were printed on the little one, on one 4x6 photo. Then I cut them apart to make the strip.

I create my own collages (2 to 4 pictures per 4x6 print) using Picasa.

I use Adobe photoshop to resize them or crop to suit. Then combine 2 or more on a 4x6 and print and cut out.

I'm glad I asked, I definitely got some good ideas. I was able to get some pics last night from walgreens and used 2 coupon codes I had. One was for a free 8x10 collage print so I was able to get some on those. I'll have to play around with how many on a page and see how small it makes them. Right now I've made 2 pics on a 4x6 for some 2x3 wallets, they're a good size. Thanks for the ideas!! here's a page I did last night with some of my smaller pics.
