Post-bound v. 3-Ring
I'm a paper scrapper. I've only ever used post-bound albums; but, I've heard good things about 3-ring albums. I'm thinking about trying one out to see how I like it. Which do you prefer?

Re: Post-bound v. 3-Ring
I have been using post-bound for awhile now. I just recently bought the cutest 3-ring Making Memories album. I will have to see how it works out. I don't really ever make two page layouts, so that's not an issue for me.

Re: Post-bound v. 3-Ring
I use both.

I have smaller post bound albums that I use less frequently for things like my all about me album etc.

I found that I was often not putting my 12x12 pages into albums so I switched to D-Ring (3-ring) albums, filled them full of page protectors and now I never have pages that aren't in albums. I can move around pages, take them in or out as needed and they don't get smooshed if I have a very embellished page. I put my digi pages in with my paper pages. A D-ring just seems to meet my needs better.

With a post album I was already running out page protectors, never had the pages where they needed to be since I don't scrap "in order." It was just a pain.

This is me as well. When I'm working on a specific album for a friend or family member that is limited in the number of layouts, I will use post-bound. On my ongoing albums, I use the D-Ring ones.

I agree, but I also buy postboud albums because they're cheaper, and I like how 2 page layouts "meet up" in the middle so it looks like a complete spread.

that is why I started with post bound - I used to do a lot of 2page spreads, and I used to worry a lot about the cost. Now I love my 3ring. I buy them in bulk when I find a good deal, since I am trying to have them be all black so they match. I have the we are memory keepers ones and I love them!

Three ring here. And, since I'm an 8.5 x 11 scrapper, I can find them just about anywhere, and usually dirt cheap.
OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

I started out with post-bound. I don't like how everything gets squished and when the album starts getting full, the pages warp. I now use 3-Ring and I love it! But on the down side, they are more expensive.

I use post bound - I would actually like to switch to 3 Ring but the one 3 Ring I have doesn't have me convinced. Those on 3 Ring - do you find your page progectors sag, especially with heavier layouts?

Same here. I do all 2-pagers when I am paper scrapping, and I like them to meet in the middle too.

Leslie, have you ever used those post replacements that are like straps? They are supposed to be a lot easier to use than posts, and you are supposed to be able to easily add pages. I think they are supposed to really butt the 2 pages together close too.

I am a paper scrapper and love my 3-ring binder albums. I have great ones at Walgreens, that come with picture inserts that I just remove, or will even inter mix with pages.

I want to transfer all of my older postbound albums to 3 ring before they fall apart! I have way too much in them, but I know the 3 ring ones will have no problem taking all the pages! I love 3 ring!!!

No, I've never used those. I've heard people say that they are really a pain in the butt. Have you used them? I might give them a try.

Re: Post-bound v. 3-Ring
I have a three ring album that I put my layouts in until I have enough for a complete album, and then I take put all of the layouts into a post bound album at one time.

I scrap more or less chronologically, so I have a pretty good idea when I have all the layouts finished for a particular album.

No I haven't. I've wondered if they work as well as they say.
