What do you use your Textered Cardstock on?

I know sounds like a silly question, but I have tons of Bazzill, some DCWV and all I've been using them for is as a base for my LOs. I tried using them for die cuts with the Cricut Expression, but I won't get a clean cut - so I gave up on that. Just wondering how everyone else used up their cardstock. How do you show off all the nice texture? Thanks!

I use it for all my cutting with the cricut! Have you tried changing your pressure setting? That will make a huge difference. If I back my pictures I used textured cardstock...if I am using a printed paper that isn't very thick I even cut it and use the textured cardstock behind it.

I use it the same way as nmelton. It does cut well on the Cricut, but you must adjust the blade and the pressure to get that clean cut. I also use it as a base for a greeting card.

I use it on my Cricut all the time. I, also, use it for making cards.

I also use it on my Cricut. I have the deep blade housing but you can also adjust the pressure or cut it two or three times.

I had to adjust the blade setting too to get it to cut. Also use mine to make cards too.

I use it as bases, cards and cut it on my Slice, too!

I like mine for matting photos, or for title mats. Sometimes just for background on the page.

Here's a link to a site that has a chart showing speed and pressure settings for different papers and cardstocks:

PM me if this doesn't work and I'll try again. I just googled "Cricut chart on pressure and speed" to find it.

I use bazzill all the time in my Cricut Expression. Bazzill is my favorite cardstock and I use it for everything! I agree with the aforementioned......check you cutting speed, pressure setting, etc. and your Cricut should cut any cardstock like butter. Just play around with the settings to get the cut you're happy with in making just about anything! Have fun!

my recommendation is the slower the speed the better - Mine is always set to 1 or 2.

hmm...funny how it seems to work for everyone else. I've tried using a BRAND NEW blade and different pressure/speed settings and nothing seems to work. I keep getting ripped/teared unclean cuts. And if I do multi-cut, its even more of a mess. Would everyone mind sharing their settings with me? I've had my expression for 2 years now and its always been an issue cutting textured cardstock.

I use it for die cuts on the cricut.

Try Speed 3

Pressure 4

and your blade at 6

That usually works for me

I use mine for a base or matting my pictures. I also use it in my Cricut as well.

Are you making super detailed cuts? Or are all tearing?

I sometimes have trouble on the more detailed cuts, but usually not.

Can you share some pictures?

I use mine at speed 2, pressure 5, blade 5 or 6.

in some layouts but mostly cardmaking, makes a nicer base than regular cardstock.

I love textured cardstock. I rarely use anything else unless I am doing stamping and then sometimes I will use smooth cardstock. I hope you are able to get the settings figured out to use it with your Cricut!

I cut mine on one of the slowest settings. My blade depth is always set at 5 or 6 but my blade is approx a year old. So, you may not need to set it that deep. I keep the pressure on med or even low. I usually don't have to multi cut but it depends on how thick the cardstock is. I occasionally have trouble if I am cutting something very intricate. But, otherwise, these settings work for me. Good luck!!

Also, if you're trying to cut something with a lot of detail, you may be trying to make it too small. I've found that there are some things that just won't work on the smallest settings--try enlarging your item and see if that helps.
