For mothers day the kids gave me 3 containers of these perfect pearls...but I have no idea what to do with them. Is it like flocked stuff from doodlebug?? Any suggestions?
Carol
I use them just like regular stickles. Usually for centers of my flowers or to make pearls embellishments like this:
The cool part about them is that you can use them over and over. Instead of the regular pearls, once you've them they are done.

I love that stuff! It takes practice to get them to look perfectly round like pearls, but they add lots of fun dimension to your page!
Leslie
I've used them similiar to stickles - they can add lots of dimension to projects.
I have used them the same way as everyone else has mentioned- similar to Stickles but they look like pearls when they dry. I have outlined mini album covers, used them for the centers of flowers, and embellished chipboard.
Leslie is right that it takes a little practice to make the perfect shaped dot. I have found that if I mess up, wipe it up right away. You will never know it was there.

Had not heard of them before now. Nice gift from your children!
Enjoy for we will never have this day again.

Sweet gift to receive, Carol! I have a couple of them, and so far use them like I do with Stickles.
I have tiny "jars" of Perfect Pearls by Ranger, but really do not use them like Stickles - so I am not sure we are talking the same product. I mostly use mine as an additive to paints to give a pearlescent sheen. Or put a few drops of water on a plastic lid, mix in a dab of PP, and use a fine brush to stroke it on a flower petal, brad, or such.
I have not used Perfect Pearls in any way to get dimension on a LO - which makes me wonder if I am missing something. It use it more as an art medium. The Perfect Pearls I use come in a very fine powder form.
Are you Stickles gals just dumping this stuff on glue or something to make it work like Stickles? My inquiring mind wants to know.

Whew! I thought I was crazy. I have perfect pearls and I haven't used them much. I do like how they look when I have, though. TY for the link - I'm going to look for some more videos about it and try to use it. Good luck to you!
This looks totally fun!girlsmommy wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAE0BrdPAy8 Found this. HTH

After watching that video I need to go get some of that!
I don't have Liquid Pearls...but sounds like my kind of fun! I do use Scribbles 3D paint - found at Michaels in the paint section - and probably a lot less $ than Perfect Pearls. I love to use these for flower centers as well. You can purchase it in different finishes: shiny (aka gloss), matte, or iridescent (pearl sheen). Getting perfect pearl drops does take practice and plenty of drying time.
