New from Wa State

Hi all, My name is Ginger and I am from Silverdale, Wa. I am in my 50's and retired 3 years ago. I decided then that I would love to start scrapping so went out and bought everything known to man. That was 3 years ago and I have yet to begin. I did go to a couple of CK Conventions and have taken some classes but can't seem to find that inner creative talent that I hear everyone has tucked away within themselves. We have a small scrapbooking store that I have tried to get involved with but haven't found any friendlys to work with. Gals seem to scrap in little groups and stick together.
To make a long story short, I would love to find some scrappers in my area to interact with and maybe give me a boost and help me get started.
I just posted on the new 'cherry blossoms' board and I am hoping to get involved with all the gals here. This is all new to me so any help or suggestions are welcome.

I know what you mean about groups of scrappers... I don't have one in "real life" either! The huge bunch of ladies here are my scrap buddies and are great for inspiration and encouragement. You should post some of your LOs in the Gallery! We would love to see them!!

Thank You
Deanna, I appreciate that. I am sure if I find anyone local or not I will love being here and getting to know some wonderful gals to scrap with. I will be looking at alot of layouts here in the gallery so if that doesn't give me a boost nothing will.

OMG Ginger! We have GOT to get together! LOL! I'm in Bremerton ~ right next door practically! Will PM you details :) I joined a few scrapping crops at The Scrapbook Zone two years ago but recently have noticed a couple of things.. 1) Their prices are going higher 2) It's not the same without Carrie there anymore.. :(
I just cleaned my scrapping room and I've been waiting for some motivation to get back into it again... maybe having someone to scrap with is THE motivation I need!

To bad is isn''t like 'the good old days' where people did have time set aside for each other. I guess we are all just to busy with daily life.
Thank you for the welcome.

Since you're retired, you could take a nice drive down the coast & visit me in S. california

Welcome....my suggestion is to just dive right in! Pick a picture or group of pics and start there!! It gets easier as you do more and you'll find you become more creative too! The gallery is a great place for inspiration!

Where are you in So Cal? We travel quite a bit down that way via RV. To bad it is to big for me to drive. My DH is from Santa Barbara and I am from up north Santa Rosa.

Absolutely! I refer to it as Pleasantville. I hope we get to move back after this. We decided it is "our place".
Glad to have you on board!
