Do you "file" off the little edges when using chipboard or do you just use it as it is?  I'm using some words/phrases from a K&Company tin which were pull-aparts.  Or do you just leave the little notches? And what do you use to adhere them?  I use CM tape runners exclusively, but they do not work on chipboard.  Suggestions?

I do file the edges and I found that my mod podge works the best to adhere them even if they are "self sticking" I still put the Mod podge on them.  They stick really well and I have no real mess plus I gloss them as well sometimes while they are drying.Hugs

That's a great idea.  I'll try it!  Now I have an excuse to get out and go somewhere!!!

I file the edges and use my tombo or 3l adhesives.

Now, what kind of file do you all use to file down the edges?  I have chipboard, but it's all already decorated.  Don't think I have any of the plain stuff.  Who knows, maybe I do? LOL

I file it down.  The little edges bother me. I save old nail files and use those and I have sand blocks I have bought from the paint section from the big box retailers.  I use my BG file set as well.

Emery boards work just fine to file down the edges!  I buy them a dozen in a pack for a buck or two at Wal-Mart.  When they were out, I pitch them. I use glue dots to hold my chipboard down...they seem to work the best and can be put in small spaces.

I used an emory board forever but recently got a great deal on the BG file set and I really do love it! The small round files better fit in the smaller spaces, like the space in "a's" and I've used it on different altered pieces too.I also use Ranger glossy or matte accents to adhere just about everything these days.
