Hello, Cherries!

We will be making home made pizzas and then ice cream sundaes.  We will also be spending the night playing games.  We play Monopoly and we play poker.  We bet with candy for our poker games.  We each buy a bag of our favorite candy and use that instead of chips.  We have fun!

Other than watching the ball drop -- that's it!

Those of you that have plans out, be safe!

Have a great day ALL!

I call to your Mr goodbar and raise you a Twix!!!

Hahaha! Yeah!  Something like that!  😅

OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

Eating, probably playing some games, and watching rockin' NYE if we can get the digital antenna to pull it in. We can't get much with it and have to get it just right. No cable or streaming service to see it otherwise. My son's usual day off (he lives with us) but I think my daughter and her fiance both work today so won't be here til evening.

I entered my first ACOT challenges today! (Card sketch and Taylor Swift) Worked on the cards yesterday but it was too dark to take decent pics so luckily still had today for that.

Hey, hey ladies!
You’ve been a chatty bunch this morning. Can’t believe we’re at the en$ of another year! I was off to get groceries this morning. And then shovelled the walk when I got home! Winter has arrived. It’s a whole 24 degrees out. If all the lazy pooples( thanks, Brandy) would get out and shovel I would get out and walk too. Especially with no wind. You can layer up for the cold!

Going to make me some lunch . Then do some more scrapping! Have a DP layout I need to upload. Otherwise no big plans for tonight. We’re another - open the front door at midnight family to let the New Year in. Grew up doing this and it has remained through the years! My granny was very superstitious and also read tea leaves. Wish she was still around!

Anyhoo, Happy New Year , all!

Happy New Year's Eve, cherries!! Later this afternoon DD is going to BFF's house for a movie marathon / sleepover. So DH and I will be on our own this NYE. We'll order some takeout (had a menu planned but is too much food for just the 2 of us and not something to be saved). We'll bingewatch Day of the Jackal (hooked on that show!) and play some games. I hope to do some scrapping after DD leaves and before DH gets home when I'm all by myself at home, uninterrupted LOL!

Sounds like a fun time to me, Anne Marie! 😊 Happy New Year! 🎊
Happy New Year! I don't think I'll get much scrapping done today though. The girls are still here - BFF is using my hot glue gun (I told her she could borrow it but she wants to do it here in case she needs help LOL) and DH is coming home early. But at least I am getting all the challenges together so far to print out and working on my copy editing. And uploading all my December challenges. In any case, maybe I'll have a clean sweep to start scrapping tomorrow LOL!

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Carl Sandburg

in my neck of the woods, lol, January is foggy. Not as bad as it once was since a lot of the tulle areas have been destroyed for houses but still a valley where two rivers meet so foggy a lot. Used to worry myself sick about my kids driving in the fog when they were younger.  Made night driving scary for sure.,

not much today.  Grocery store and then either a long walk or work in the back yard.  Too old for both in same day.  I’m always still up at midnight so I’ll see the old year out and let the new guy in.   Boys will b here tomorrow for traditional ham and  scalloped potatoes dinner.  Probably football too.  lol

my New Year’s resolution is to try harder to do the monthly challenges on here.  I always have good intentions but as the old saying goes , the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions.  lol

have a good Tuesday and a safe and happy New Years Eve

Hi Cherries !!!   Currently at work…. Doing a little work… and also a little bit of ACOT!!!  It’s the last warm day so here in a few minutes I will go do my outside inspections. Super windy but close to 50 ahead of the artic blast that is coming.
no plans for me. I will stop at the grocery on the way home and then hopefully have a cozy evening with the pups.
oh Mr. Ollie thought he would blow past me and get out to the front yard this morning on my way to work at 5 !!! Eeek I live close to a busy street and usually it’s hard to get him back. Of course pitch black night, he is a black lab   !!! But he went to the perimeter of the yard on every side and left his mark and then came running back. Mx we went in! I was praying the whole time. Help me lord Jesus! And he did! 🙂
So thankful for that this morning!
now to get the rest of this day done!
Omgoodness Ollie!! So glad he came back in! Thank God!

Happy New Year's Eve Cherries!!

A new day has come and most of the sickness is gone from the house!  Thank goodness!!  I'm getting ready to head out to the grocery store and pick up a couple of things to make for tonight.  We are having appetizer/finger foods - sausage balls, Rotel dip, ham and cheese sliders, chips and dip, mini pizzas, veggies, fruit, and something for dessert... I don't know if we will make it til the ball drops - but we will try.  I'm sure Grayson will!

Once I get my snacks made, I'm coming into my scrapbook room for the most of the day -or that's the plan!  I've got one layout almost done for one of Karyn Sue's Hanukkah challenges and another layout in mind...  I also want to get my challenge up and work on what my goals for 2025 are going to be.  2025 - that seems like it should be a Jetson's thing - not something I'm getting ready to live in!  Wow - time flies!
So glad you are all well again! Enjoy all that fun food!

Hola cherries! Went to go see the boys for a bit today. The littles were busy and showing us everthing that Santa brought them. Draven was helping his little brothers put together a space shuttle from a Duplo set they got.

I started this layout before we left and then took me a couple of more hours to finish it. It's for the Movie Challenge

Image

I'll try to get another done. We ate lunch a little late but who cares, it's NYE. Will we make it to midnight? IDK. We shall see. Already cracked open a bottle of white. :) Will switch to red later :)

Re: Scrap a Day, December 31st
Hello and happy New Year’s Eve!

I’m really late getting here today. It’s 3 pm here so many of you are eating dinner already. :)

I took a bad tumble last night. The chickens weren’t cooperative and I was waiting in the car so we could take the gifts to my BFF and her granddaughter. So I got out of the car and got over to where one of the chickens was and scooted her towards Steve so he could catch her. I turned to leave that section and got my left leg over the netting just fine. But my right boot caught the netting and down I went. Banged my head on a muddy bucket and all my weight landed on my knee. It hurt so bad that I was afraid I’d broken something. But thankfully I didn’t. I had my big fluffy winter coat on and I had my Santa had on which took the brunt of the bucket for me.

I was so mad at myself. And the birds were all freaking out too. Some were outside of the coops, some were in and it was massive chaos. Steve was trying to get me up and I couldn’t get up. I told him to take care of the birds and I’d just sit there. It took him awhile to help me get up but we made it. My BFF lives just a half mile away so I stayed in the car while he took the gifts in.  I was still hurting but could move my leg just fine. We figured if I couldn’t make it up the stairs to the house I could stay in the cabin. But I did fine. Went straight to bed with a bag of frozen strawberries and Tylenol along with some cream that has Advil in it that we get by prescription.

Thankfully today I’ve been moving around and haven’t even needed Tylenol! But I’m taking it slow and easy! I got more of my scrappy stuff here and I’m all set up. I have 2 challenges I want to finish before midnight. I might make it! Lol!

We will just be hanging out by ourselves. Might watch a ball drop somewhere. No real traditions here. I’m liking the open the door and let the old out and the new in! I’m very grateful that I’m not having surgery or on crutches after last night! Very grateful!!!!

Can’t believe it’s already 2025!!! Time is definitely flying by!!!
