Vicki, you’ve got the right idea! Stay inside where it’s warm and you’re safe and enjoy the beauty!!!
FoxyStamping wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 11:55 amBrr! From Kansas! Yesterday blizzard conditions. Snow quit last night, but overnight windchills of -10 here, other parts of the state -25. Right now 5 feels like 0! Left our cupboards by sinks open and faucets dripping overnight. We haven’t lost power but others have. Everything, even churches canceled yesterday, today everything closed! Alerts on cell phones to stay off roads today. We are staying in, and warm, and safe!
The good thing is I crafted most of day, yesterday! Two layouts, easy ones. And I got it all uploaded to my gallery and posted to the correct places on here! Big job for me! LOL.
Maybe I will craft some more today! Still need to clean or de-clutter my room….oh, and Monday is day I am supposed to do a post on my blog. I was really lax on that last year!
stay warm, stay safe, stay crafty!
Happy Monday!
OMG Sharon!!! That’s scary cold!! Stay safe and warm! Yay for getting layouts finished and posted!!! Have fun playing today!
VexedAngel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:05 pmCongrats on getting the room together, Barb, it always feels nice when I can clean up my space. @MTCanuck, photos are the hardest part for me, too. The selecting, the editing, the ordering, ugh. @VickiR, that is my favorite way to enjoy the snow--inside, curled up! Enjoy! @FoxyStamping, we didn't get quite as much on the eastern side of Missouri, but the colder air is hitting us, too. Enjoy staying in and scrapping. We used to live in KC, and for some reason, Instagram has decided I need to see all the reels of people driving in KC right now. LOL I just want to yell, "GET OFF THE ROADS!"
We have a snow day today, although I have some work I need to get done. My parents' power went out and they have a generator but are refusing to turn it on (farm folk), so are sitting in the cold. I'm not sure what to do with them, except for checking up on them regularly, but Mom is getting annoyed with that. Oh, well, she could have chosen to be annoyed or be warm, so... Should finish my New Year's cards today!
AnnMarie, lol on your mom getting annoyed. She’d be calling you if roles were reversed! Hopefully their power will come back on soon or they’ll get tired of being cold and will start the generator.
Have fun finishing your New Year’s cards!!!
Oh Laura! I hope you don’t lose too many days of rehearsal!! Glad you got to stay home and do your work! Stay safe and warm down there!!!Art_Teacher wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 2:25 pmWell, we got our snow...up to 6 inches, now! I got to stay home and do my "workday" from here. The news said the last time we had this much snow at once was 2015! I hope this year won't be like that, because I remember we had 12 snow days, which really interfered with my school musical (The Addams Family). We are doing The Music Man this year and we are already getting a 3-days later start than last year.
I hope everyone is staying safe and warm!

Snow and ice and more snow is super dangerous I think! Yay for scrapping Holly! Have fun playing today! And stay safe and warm!!!JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 2:43 pmSnowmaggedon 2025, Cherries!
We've had snow and ice and more snow LOL we're NOT going anywhere! I DID clear off some of my workspace yesterday and did some scrappin' for the first time in forever! More arts and crafts (and TV) today lol!
It's supposed to snow all day again, and I'm ALREADY debating on wether or not I can work on Wednesday. (The whole trailer park is a giant block of ice lol so we'll see!)
Stay safe and warm and blessed, DCs!
{{{HUGS}}} Charleneanne. Don’t miss your Dr Pepper! Hope you’re having a good day.Charleneanne wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 3:33 pmWow. You folks with your crazy cold weather stay inside where it’s warm(er) and safe. It’s cold at night here going down into 30’s but sunny and around 60 by late afternoon. These crazy January weather doldrums we’ve had last couple decades are part of why California is having water issues now.
nothing much going on today. It’s the 6th anniversary of Alan’s dying. Had plans but they were canceled. I do need to go to grocery today. I’m down to my last bottle of Dr Pepper. That’s something I try to never b out of.
stay warm.
Have fun playing Chris! When my DD lived at Virginia Beach whenever it would snow they’d get completely dumped on! One year when we drove up from Florida it started snowing about an hour after we got there. The next morning you couldn’t tell one car from another because the snow was so deep! Beach areas seem to be like that! Hope your DD stays safe! And you too!!!emmapaige wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 3:57 pmWe got snow, too. I think maybe 2 inches which is plenty enough for me. My daughter who lives at the beach in Delaware already got about 9 inches. So much for moving to the beach!!
I had nice long phone conversation with a friend but finally in my scrap room.
Ooops - forgot to hit submit! I'm almost done my first layout of the day.
Hey Cherries! Getting a later start than usual today. It’s 44 degrees but the cold wind is blowing hard. Thankfully the house handles wind much better than the cabin! Lol!
I need to take the decorations down today. I’ll get Steve to help with laundry. I need to walk over to the cabin to get what’s on my list. It’s too long to ask Steve to do it. Besides I know where everything is.
There’s so much that needs to get done in here just putting things away and it’s overwhelming at times. But I just keep reminding myself there’s no hurry. I have to figure out where to put all of Steve’s tools and construction stuff before I can begin even cleaning the cabinets. THEN I can start putting things away. That part shouldn’t take long…
And I’m determined to scrap today! I haven’t played in days for various reasons and I’m getting more and more cranky as a result. So I need my fix!!! Lolol!!!
Have a great day and stay safe everyone!!!
