I'm sure to play today! It's a mess and a half, but it is what it is! I don't know if I 'lll tidy up today, but I DEFINITELY want to play!!
Stay blessed, warm and safe Cherries!

MTCanuk wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 3:42 pmI have been busy this morning. Was up early and continuing to work on Bermuda album. Making headway. Had to stop and finish sending photos to Persnickity Prints while their sale was still on. Can go forward with Bermuda when the rest of photos arrive.
Then I went across the hall where the grandkids play and that room was trashed, so got in there and picked up. Dusted and will run the vacuum around shortly. What a mess they made. Mostly the 2 younger ones.
They were all here yesterday either shoveling or playing in the snow. We have 10-12 inches out there and more expected tonight . I haven’t been any where in almost a week. They don’t need one more car on icy roads.
They also brought up my sofa table and I could get all my photos back out on display.
Need to go and shower now.
Leslee! Thanks for the reminder about persnickety!!! I need to get some printed too!!!!
Yay for finally getting some snow! I’m with you about staying home on days like that!!! Have fun putting your photos back out!!!
Charleneanne wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 3:51 pmSunny and coolish out. Expected high of low 60’s today. The weather has really changed here in the last 80 years since I was born. As a kid and teenager, I can remember needing a sweater by end of September and plain old darn cold weather by mid October through at least Easter. I haven’t even owned a coat in the last maybe 30 years. No need for one. I guess that’s evolution or something scientific like that.
as I was thinking about going to bed a bit after midnight last night, my sister popped up on Messenger. We started video chatting and didn’t quit till my phone warned me I only had 1% battery left. It was after 2am. She has insomnia and stays up late like that a lot. I on the other hand am dragging a bit this morning. But nothing much to do today anyhow so guess it’s ok.
have a warm cozy wintery Sunday
How fun to stay up half the night talking to your sister! As long as it’s not every night though. Lol! Hope you enjoy your lazy day!!!
Hey Cherries!
Talk about weird weather we are at 40 degrees with no precipitation in southeast Alaska!!! And the not quite inch we got the other day has all melted!!! So strange to hear how cold Holly is and that they’re getting snow!
I’m still in bed at 11:30am. I’ve got the lazies too. Lol! Steve way overdid things yesterday so I’m trying not to push him too much today. My washing machine and dishwasher are still in the cabin and we need to do both. But can’t do them at the same time. So I’ll get a load of clothes done and when they come over here to go into the dryer we can run the dishwasher and then run another load of laundry when it’s done with the water. It will be so nice to have them both in the same place! And they’ll be right next to my scrap room so that will be quite convenient too!!!
I’m hoping to play today. I’d like to watch the football games but not sure we can get them. The games yesterday were good. All the teams playing for wild card spots makes it more fun to watch. I usually root for the underdog teams. Lol!
Hope you all have a safe, warm and cozy wintry Sunday!!!

I am trying to avoid reality that I have to go back to school tomorrow. lol Of course, if the weather does what all the crazy, fearmongers are predicting, that might not be true! Have heard anything from 2 inches of snow to 18 inches of snow, ice, maybe tonight, probably tomorrow morning, who knows?! It is a teacher workday, so they might make us come in, anyway, though we are just doing grading and prepping for the 2nd semester. smh As far as I know there is no professional development session planned. Might be a good day to be "sick!"
Praying for everyone in the severe path of this storm. Stay safe and warm, cherries!

Good afternoon. I watched some of the videos on the ACOT blog hop. Then I watched a nail biting Eagles game. We’re getting snow tonight but still no idea how much. Really doesn’t matter since even snow flurries give me a reason to stay inside and scrap.

Did a bunch of exam grading, then took some time to make a layout. Needed a break!
Here is my layout for the Weekly Sketch 409 challenge combined with the Hanukkah Day 2 Challenge (used 8 brads on the right side):

We aren't expecting anything from this storm. It is an unusually weird moving storm. I want some snow!

Great layout! Glad you got to scrap!
Our forecast keeps changing. We are only 6 miles from the MD line and they are in the 6" range and Lancaster is 4". Time will tell what we get. All of the MD school districts called off classes early today. Our oldest DD and her DH were leaving for Florida on Tuesday, but got a plane out tonight so they would be sure to get there.
So glad they got there. I would love some snow. The rain and ice I can do without.VickiR wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:43 pmOur forecast keeps changing. Thanks Ginni, hoping the same ,GinniG wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 4:36 pmYay for such an awesome printer Kristin!!! Have fun scrapping today and hope your first day back to school isn’t too bad!aheatfan wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 12:02 pmGood morning Cherries, jealous of all of you with that beautiful snow but hoping that you all stay safe. It has warmed up here already, we are at 70. Keeping the windows open as long as possible.
Busy morning with the car wash, Target run and installing my new printer. I have a Canon Mega Tank that I bought during the pandemic and LOVED that printer. Was giving me all sorts of trouble so went out and bought the same exact model yesterday. I can't even be mad, over the last 4 1/2 years, I probable made over 50,000 copies and photo prints. It served me well. Highly recommend this printer if you are in the market.
Hoping to scrap a bit today before heading back to work tomorrow. Have a great day everyone.
