Good morning Cherries!
At work and hard at it working on month end reports ahead of YEAR end reports! Ugh…. It’s that time of year! I have 2 done.
I am having a hard time focusing today. And thinking about the winter storm. We are always at the weird line that we don’t know if it will end up as snow or ice or nothing! Ugh again.
so today after work I will go and get a few groceries and tomorrow run an errand. Then I should be set for the weekend.
it was nice to have Weds off.
have a great day today!

I hope you don’t get ice! That’s the worst! Glad you’ll be ready for the weekend and the snow! Only 2 days of work and then the weekend! You can DO it! :)

Hey Cherries 😊 I'm even more distracted today I think lol I quit smoking cigarettes for New Year's and don't want to tell my BFF that I've cheated. (Haven't smoked much and AM wearing the patch, but one is one and two is two, right?)
ANYWAY lol I'm gonna go check out ALL the challenges! I NEED to do something scrappy today!
Stay blessed, Cherries! 🍒 ❤️😊

Time to get it into gear!

Good morning cherries! Like Susan, back to reality today. My client and her staff are back today. Hoping for a peaceful day.

Went on my walk this morning and washed a load of towels. Ran to the grocery store to get a MealSimple for DH and I for dinner. With both of us working today not sure if either of us will be wanting to cook. We've been working thru leftovers so I grabbed a couple of salmon pinwheels with cream cheese/spinach and some brussel sprouts with bacon and parmasean cheese. All we have to do is just pop them in the oven.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Sounds like you got some nice goodies for dinner!!! Hope work is easy for both of you today Brandy!!!

After packing up Christmas yesterday I wanted a quieter day today.  Still washing sheets and towels and paying bills.  Put up my winter display.  The rooms are so sad with all the decorations down.  DH is off to the dentist for a cleaning.  I am staying in because it is cold out there at 10F.  And we are under s winter storm watch for Friday and Sat.  With it so cold the snow on the ground won't be melting anytime soon.  Winter is here.

Going to play in my scrap space where it is cozy and warm.

Have a great day!
Leslee, I saw that Arctic blast coming down through Canada and headed straight for you! Hope it’s not TOO bad!!! Glad you can stay cozy and warm! Have fun playing!!!

Hello.  Wintery sunshine sort of with some clouds.  Looks pleasant but cold.  Definitely fleece lined slippers today. Nothing on my agenda until Monday. Made a lovely baked ham and scalloped potatoes dinner for my boys and I last night so don’t even have to cook tonight cause leftovers.   And, haha, it’s been so cold the ants are gone too.  Well at least for now.  We’ll see how that goes when it starts raining again.

I seem to b at 6’s and 7’s today.  Or maybe just a bit slow getting started this morning or something. lol

Have a warm, safe Thursday.

Glad the ants are gone Charlene!!! One of the benefits of it being cold! And yay for leftovers!!! Hope you have a great day!!!

Hello Cherries...wishing safety to those of you facing winter storms.

Got up early and headed out to the 90% Hobby Lobby Christmas sale. My first time ever going the morning of. Complete madness!!!  I went there to get gifts for my classroom kiddos for the next two years...40 cents per kid, can't beat that!!  Only spent about 50 bucks total and am also stocked on wrapping paper, tape and some extra Christmas decor. Saw ladies with 6-7 overflowing carts...just crazy!

Hoping to scrap a bit now that I'm home.

Kristin, that sounds like a madhouse! But also sounds like you got some awesome deals!!! 6-7 carts each??!!??!! WOWOW! I wonder what they do with whatever they make? Enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Hey Cherries! Late coming on today. It’s another chilly morning. Steve’s been having trouble keeping the fire going. It either burns too fast or it smolders and doesn’t put out enough heat. But it coils be a lot worse. So I’ve been sitting in bed with the electric blanket and the space heater on, and the turbo heater has been running for a couple of hours… It’s still only 64 in the bedroom. So I’ll just hang out here for awhile longer. Lol!

Im still stiff and sore from my fall and my leg is still swollen. But I can get around as long as I pay attention. And I can’t sit very long without really getting stiff. I’m so very glad it wasn’t any worse!!!! No more chasing chickens for me! Lolol!

I got 2 cards made last night to send with the mini albums. We will go to town sometime in the next 2 days and I’ll mail them then. I’m hoping it helps my oldest grandson (21 in March) to get out of his depression. My brother and daughter are really worried about him. So please say prayers and good thoughts for my Noah. Thanks!

Today I will do more work on my kitchen. Waiting for some organizers to arrive. And I’ll be scrapping too if I can. Time will tell. :) We have leftover ham so I think I’ll make either Mac and cheese with ham or potatoes au gratin with ham. Need to go get my casserole dishes from the cabin first. Along with other things. Lol! As we need things we bring them over. Kind of an easy move! :)

Hope you’re all having a blessed day!!!

Good morning Barb and DCs! We’re out a day early for our weekly grocery run.  Trying to get ahead of the upcoming weather this weekend.  Not much else except catching up on the board and in the gallery.

Yes, that weather is looking crazy!  I won't be mad if I have a snow day on my first day back from Christmas break, though. ;)
It is!  Our grandkids live in northern MD and are already planning to be off on Monday and Tuesday.  We shall see!

It was pretty much deserted.  Only a few shoppers which works for us!

Glad you're feeling better after that fall!  Take care of yourself.  I've added Noah to my prayer list.  It's a tough time of year for a lot of people.

Re: Scrap a Day, January 2nd
I am really late.  I had to do a search to find you.  Thankful we can do that! LOL  I have spent the day writing down challenges, spending my cherries and ACOT gift card that our daughter gave me for Christmas.  I put things in the basket, took them out, put others in!  Not that I need a thing!  But sure will be fun to get it all.  I had some other I ordered earlier.  It is all on hold now. (because I didn't know how to get it and the other on hold)  Oh, well, something I ordered won't come right away anyway.  I think I might get more cherries and spend some more.  LOL  But, oh, I won 1000 cherries in random drawing for the journal sketch, today and they are spent with the rest! LOL
I spent all 6000 cherries plus my gift card!  Whahoo!

What about you all? Do you save a bunch before spending them?  6000 was the most I ever had.  Actually 7000, but only spent the 6000.

I have done absolutely no crafting in 2025.  I guess I better change that right now.
Toodles

I hope you continue to heal after your fall. Praying your heat situation gets regulated quickly. 64 indoors is no fun!
Will pray for Noah !

Most I ever spent was 4000. I must have misunderstood when I first learned about cherries and rewards and I thought that was the most that could be redeemed at one time. I only just learned a year ago - on Dec 31. that you could actually go higher.

I refuse to take down my tree until MLK, Jr. Day.  It makes the cold, dark day so much brighter.  But, I didn't put it up until December 21st, so I'm not ready for it to go. ;)  Stay safe...we are under the same winter storm watch.
