Re: Scrap a Day, December 16th
Hey Cherries! It’s another bright sunny day here. I’m looking forward to Friday when it will finally warm up! Even the chickens are staying where it’s warmest! Geese don’t care except when there’s ice on the pond and the pool. Lol!

We are LOVING being in our house! I spent about an hour cleaning off the biggest section of the countertops in the kitchen yesterday. Got all of the screws and drill bits and tools, etc. off and then had to scrub and scrub to get it clean. We bought them used and had them shipped up from Seattle. Then they sat around waiting for their installation and then Steve used it to put all his stuff. But I think it’s clean now. Whew! Lol!

I need to spend a bit of time in the cabin so I can figure out what else -besides rugs - we need to bring over. And I’m going to finish a layout and make the 2 mini albums today I hope.

Have a wonderful day Cherries!!!

We drove down to Delaware to pick up some adult beverages for the Holiday season. We also stopped at Trader Joe's to pick up some of their prepared meals so we don't make a big mess before Christmas.

DH has a nasty blister on his big toe. Since he is diabetic and has neuropathy, he was able to get an appointment with his podiatrist tomorrow afternoon. I swear with him, it's four steps forward and then two steps back.

No scrapping for me today but I did post one that I did yesterday.

Sorry, that has to be pretty rough and especially this time of year.

I worked on the quilt yesterday. Got my lines drawn on and started the quilting. It's a nightmare. My machine has a small throat and was not designed for shoving blankets through. So my stitches are all uneven. Places where I was trying to feed it through the stitches got so tiny as the fabric was practically at a standstill while the needle was trying to stitch. Places with skipped stitches. I saw at least one place on the back that has 3 threads where a skipped stitch is. Then my machine decided to stop stitching properly when I went to start another row - wouldn't catch the thread right and the needle would stop. Finally got it stitching again. Also had 3 or 4 lines that I had accidentally had the extra backing fabric folded under when I started stitching and hadn't noticed so had to pick those out. The one that was the longest (couple inches or so) I used the sewing machine to do that area I picked out again. The other ones I actually sat there with needle and restitched by hand like what the machine does.  Sew (haha) disappointing I couldn't get the stitching even. It is what it is.
Sounds like a quilting nightmare to me.  Do you have a walking foot on your machine???  I find it helps immensely.
I am sure your daughter will love it because it was made with love.

Yep, using a walking foot.
I knew I forgot something in my post. That was another problem! The walking foot I got has metal for the walking arm thing and no plastic on it. I found out last time I used it that it was wearing into the metal of the needle holder! So I've had to try and come up with something to stop it from doing that. I finally got my hands on a straw and put it on the arm of the walking foot. (Before that I kept trying to wrap the needle holder.)

Accidentally sewed over extra fabric again. *Insert scream* this time probably 4 inches.

Rainy and gloomy out. The weather matches the day. Three years ago today I lost my sweet DH. I can’t believe it’s been three years. I still miss him every single day. DS and I will be meeting up with DD and family tonight at our favorite diner. We do this every year.

I didn’t get all my wrapping done over the weekend. I was feeling a little off yesterday and I kept taking breaks. I still have more to do but I got the bulk of it done. Doing laundry today and I have to ship out another package so making another trip to the post office. Getting there little by little.

Hope you all have a great day.
Sending sweet hugs for you today, Barb.

Continuous hugs to you Barb. Today and everday.

Jasper continues to heal nicely after having double eye surgery Thursday. DH and I never went to visit them and see how he was doing because on Saturday, both Draven and Jasper had fever and were both congested. Fever broke, but then it came back Sunday for both boys, on top Draven throwing up. Amazingly Wes and Anton are fine. I'll touch base with my SIL sometime today to see how the boys are doing.

Got all the laundry done Saturday as well as the cookie dough for Christmas cookies. Lunch with the DAR ladies Saturday was nice. DH called his aunt to wish her a happy bday and she sounds run down and her throat hurt. We had plans to go out to dinner but with her feeling bad, we were going to post-pone it. 'Tis the season for sickness....

Yesterday I got all the wrapping done for the kids. I put most of my gift wrapping stuff away except for a few bags and a couple of rolls of wrapping paper set aside for when I pick Draven up so he can wrap the gifts he bought for his brothers.

Just another work day for me. Hope y'all have a great day.
I hope Jasper is doing well and all of the boys/family are better for Christmas!

Oh Barb, sending you virtual hugs.  Enjoy your time with the kids at dinner!

Today, I am going to try and get some gifts wrapped but also scrapbook.  I have a bit of mojo going and don't want to ruin it!  I always get the wrapping done even if at midnight the night before, lol.

Otherwise, just waiting for more snow.. this icy mix needs to be done!

Snow is good, ice not so much...

Hey Cherries 😊
Work kicked my tail hard yesterday! 😂 We were sooo busy and it flew by and I was happy about that! 😁
Started addressing my cards yesterday and I will work on more today!
I'm ALSO gonna upload my art journaling for the weekly art journal sketch sometime today.
I'd LIKE to scrap, but I've been into doing holiday things this year - like the cards! I've made another one and think I followed the challenge criteria, but even if I didn't, my great Aunt and cousin will LOVE it! 😊 So that makes me happy!
I have to do some holiday shopping tomorrow. 😊
I did some MORE holiday shopping for myself last night, too! Lol! I'm LOVING the hold my order feature here- and soon, I'll get a big box full of things I DON'T NEED but ABSOLUTELY LOVE! I have a bunch of adulting related expenses next year, so I'll be slacking off on my shopping again- so, I took full advantage of the wonderful sales here! 🤷🏻😉😊  Of course, I picked up some papers for DGD. I gift things to her sometimes and you KNOW that I think that arts and crafts related gifts are the best!! 😉
Have a wonderful day, Dear Cherries! Stay blessed! 🍒❤️☺️

Sounds like you had fun stocking up on crafty supplies.  My DGD will be getting crafty stuff for Christmas too.

Woke up to a very dark room and figured it was still night- turned out to be 8 am and storming again.  lol.  But when this one moves on this afternoon no rain again till Saturday.  However will remain cloudy and overcast all week which will mean not so dang cold at night.

got a very small tree at Home Depot yesterday.  Have to wait for a break in rain to get into the shed for ornaments and other Christmas decorations.   So either b good and wrap a few gifts or play a bit at the craft table.  Hmmm lol

have a really good Monday and do your own thing.
I know what my choice would be!  LOL!  I did that for a week before I finally decorated the tree.  ROFL!

Dull and grey here too.  Around 30F out.  Next for me is to bundle up and head for a walk.  The wind is calm.  Expecting freezing rain or snow later this afternoon.  DH is out Avis driving and should be back after lunch.,

I am in full baking mode.  Also trying to make some cards for Curtis' stepmum.  She doesn't really need much as she is in assisted living, where she has everything she needs.  And if not her son is out there to get her things.  But a few cards are always nice to have on hand.

The minion was having a meltdown this morning, because she doesn't have enough Christmas clothes to wear.  Can you imagine???
Curtis put the dollie crib and high chair together over the weekend that we are giving her for Christmas.  And her auntie made her a dollie quilt.

Otherwise, all is well here.  Just in full Christmas mode.  Most of the wrapping is done.  Just have to figure out some stocking stuffers for the grands.
You're way ahead of me!  I do have my baking supplies out, but haven't started any baking yet.  Today I realized that a week from tomorrow is Christmas Eve!  I need to get moving.

Re: Scrap a Day, December 16th
I had a frustrating afternoon.  My new Epson Eco Tank Printer arrived today.  DH did all of the set up and install and I was excited to start printing photos again.  Ugh...everything prints great on computer paper, both documents and photos.  However, I keep getting lines on my photos.  I use the Epson Ultra Premium Glossy paper.  We changed the settings on the printer to the correct setting and nope, still getting lines.  Re-installed the drivers and spent an hour on the phone with Epson support.  They were no help and sent me an e-mail that I had to attach photos to explaining what was happening.  So, as excited as I was to have the Eco Tank printer, now I'm just frustrated with it.

Awwwwww 😢 I hope you were able to somehow resolve the issue! I know I had one printer that did that the first few times I used it; but that was ages ago it seems!

Vicki I am so sorry you are having trouble. My guess is there is something wrong with the printer itself causing the lines. Could be the rollers or the print head. It is so frustrating when things don't work right. Once figured out, the Eco Tank is a great printer.

Thanks, Barb.  We finally talked with a 3rd person at Epson this evening that was able to help with the issue we were having.  I think we're good now.  Phew!!  I didn't want to even think about packing it up and the returning process.
