Good afternoon cherries. Been busy today as usual. Spent about an hour on the phone with my SIL, just catching up. They got Jasper's 5th bday planned for next Saturday so I need to squeeze in time to order some gifts. He continues to absolutely LOVE school and still gets excited whe he sees his teacher and his classmates. It's the sweetest! Wesley is making strides in speech therapy and Anton is driving her crazy

Gotta get back to work now. I'm trying to wrap something up so I can do an upgrade tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Brandy, it’s so good to hear Jasper is doing so well! Seems like he’s got a really sunny personality! And it’s good to hear the other boys are doing well too! Even Anton driving her crazy is normal for his age! Hope all goes well with your upgrade tonight!

Only noon here and already 92 degrees!   I’ll trade one of you folks with the cool damp weather!  Still predicting 100 today but saying last triple digit this year.

washed my hair and did a load of laundry.  Going to eat lunch and then make a bday card for youger DS.  His bday isn’t till Saturday but we’re celebrating on Thursday because his older brother works Saturday night.   I stopped making Christmas cards to make autumn cards lol but need to get back on track with Christmas ones too.

My card making live is this evening and looking forward to watching that.  Usually on twice a week but there wasn’t one last Tuesday and I totally forgot to watch Thursday.  lol

stay chill and have a pleasant Tuesday.

Hey Cherries! The storm has finally passed. Sent some really strong winds from an odd direction late yesterday afternoon so we were watching trees pretty closely - especially the ones that are newly exposed. But nothing came down so that’s a really good thing!

it was super dense fog all morning. It finally started clearing around 11. I love when the fog covers our whole property. So cool to see!

Today Steve’s going to town for some Hardy board to put down on the rest of the kitchen and dining room floors. Then he will get the wood grain linoleum to finish the floors. Progress at last!!! I just really wish we could find some help! Anyone want to come spend some time in Alaska??!! Seriously!!!

I’ve got the weekly sketch done and need to post it. Made me realize it’s been 3 years since our dog Baxter crossed the rainbow bridge. And 2 weeks later I had my surgery! That was a huge deal! I’m so glad that I had it. Has helped so much!!!

Anyway, enough rambling. I have to do some deep cleaning (YUCK!!!) and then I can play. :) YAYAYAY!

Hope you’re all having a great day!

Wow that’s way too hot! Hopefully you’ll cool off soon! Have fun making your cards and watching your videos!

Have a few things on my agenda! #1 is to pack. We head to Calgary tomorrow and I fly Thursday. Reunion on Sat. And then I head to FL on Mon. Makes it challenging as I am packing for 2 different temperatures. Curtis will head to his sister’s in BC after he drops me at the airport.

Busy day for me. I want to vacuum through and clean bathrooms too.

Pretty nice dat heading into the 70’s.

Safe travels Leslee and have a great time!

Re: Scrap a Day, September 24th
We FINALLY got some rain last night and this morning!  It hasn't rained here in almost 6 weeks and that time was barely a quarter of an inch.  This won't stop our drought, but it has made my flowers happy (and I didn't have to come home and water!)

Here is my layout for my nephew's 18th birthday and the September Baby/Kid challenge.  I don't know how he grew up so fast!

good morning. The fall weather is definitely arriving here as well, although I think we will briefly hit 70 today.

I've got my laundry up and I'm planning to get started on the art journal that we are passing around. I'm excited to work on it but nervous as the previous pages are so far out of my league.

After Vicki's post, I bought some decorative peppers and put them in pots so they can be moved around between the back and the front for the season. We will be heading to Home Depot tonight to get bulbs, grass seed, posting soil and the rest of the what we need for the fall. Since we pretty much walk everywhere, Home Depot is a bigger deal because we drive there so we make sure we get everything we need while we're out with the car.

I'm a little nervous about the art journal, too, Louise! 😉 I think everyone is so talented and while I try not to compare too much, I want to do an excellent job, too! So I definitely get it! I think you have more talent than you realize, though! ☺️ I'm often blown away by your cards, for example!

I bet your garden is still looking good, too! Too cool that you've got a rooftop garden AND walk just about everywhere! When I was younger I wanted to move east! I was drawn to the unique architecture and urban lifestyle.
Same here on the art journal. I’m nervous too ! I’m sure you will both make stunning pages !

I bet you do, too! 😊

Awesome, Louise!  The ornamental peppers are so fun and colorful!  Not to worry about the art journal.  Just do your own thing.  I'm sure it will be amazing.
