Re: Scrap a Day, September 17th
Hi Cherries!  It's a GORGEOUS day here!  A bit of a chill in the air but not too bad.  The sun is shining, the sky is blue and there's beautiful white fluffy clouds floating by over the mountains.  :)  Just a bit of a break before we start storm season on Friday.  Lots of rain and some wind for 3 days just like the ones I remember from the 1990s in Ketchikan.  Thankfully we won't get the wind they'll get!  We've had about 2" of rain this week but more is always a good thing!  Keeps the tank full!  :)

I scrapped last night.  I had fun with this page.  One of the few pics of me that I actually like.  LOL!
Image

Hoping to scrap at some point again today.  Steve's gone to town to get chick food.  He thought he had a few more days and then the first one came late Saturday afternoon and the hardware store isn't open on Sundays or Mondays.  I gave them some water and lettuce awhile ago and Raven was making sure the babies got some.  They were hungry!  He'll be home soon so they'll have good food soon.  :)  I gave the others some lettuce and bread plus their feed and more water.  They really are comfortable with me feeding them but none will let me touch them.  LOL!  Maybe someday I'll have one that will sit on my shoulders like Chip and Chickadee used to do.  :)

Nothing much happening here otherwise.  Hope you're all having an awesome day!

Tonight Is a super moon full moon known traditionally as the Harvest moon. And there will b a partial lunar eclipse in the early evening. It is called the Harvest moon due to its nearly full moon appearance for 3 consecutive nights which back in early days of our country allowed farmers to harvest crops well past nightfall thus ensuring getting all the harvest in before crops rotted in the fields.

It’s about 8:45 CDT so us west coast folks won’t see much since sunset here isn’t till just after 7pm today. if you get the chance might b fun to go out and take a look.

OK. Silly old woman is done lecturing now. Resume your fun activities.

Yessssss!!! You see it at night I’m seeing it early in the morning ! Oh my this morning it was huuuuggge and bright! We had some fog off the Mississippi and it loooked amazing!

Good luck with the seating cards. It's great that you get to be so involved. When we had my kids bar mitzvahs, I bought blank seating cards at a craft store and ran them through my printer so they could have the party logo as well as the name on them. I looked to see if I still have the package from them to get you the size but that was over 8 years ago and in the old house, so I don't. It would be pretty easy to cut and score them yourself.

I'm waiting home for a package today which will give me the opportunity to scrap and print photos. I already have laundry going which is another good thing to do when I'm stuck at home.

For those of you who live around here and care, you already know that the Eagles game last night was a disaster and we stayed up until the very sad end. I think we need to just focus on the Phillies this year.
Yes I am cutting them and scoring them myself. They are going to match the invitations so they will be on black cardstock with some of the red die cut lacey flowers across the top. Yes I am nuts. Lol. Thanks for checking. I found that the basic size is 3.5 x 2 or 3.5 x 2.5, which I'll probably be going with the latter.

I agree - I cannot believe we are mid-September already!  But it's still around 85 degrees here, so it's hard to think of Fall while you're sweating...lol.
We are trying to plan a family day at the pumpkin patch but no one wants to go if it's this hot.

I accomplished NOTHING last night.  We opted for salads for dinner which was great - I made one for lunch today.
Ran to TJMaxx and Home Goods and was disappointed.  they really didn't have much of anything I liked.

My son had physical therapy this morning and he is improving so fast, they are bumping up his sessions.  Now he has another this Thursday morning.  Another late start for him and I.  I can't wait till this is over.

Tonight I need to take him shopping as he needs a shirt and tie for homecoming - this Saturday.  Nothing like the last minute again!

I'm hoping to get more meal planning done today.  I feel like I've just been winging it all week.

Have a great day!

I'm glad your son is doing so well with the PT! 😊 Enough to go to homecoming! (Though shopping for last minute attire isn't the greatest thing!😂 Kids!😂)
I hope it cools down enough for a trip to the pumpkin patch! That sounds like fun! 😊

Good morning. Feels like fall here too but looks can b deceiving this time of year in California. We didn’t get any rain out of what went through Sunday but another slight chance tomorrow.

Heading out to a friends that lives one town over this afternoon. She’s been sick and this is first time really sick since her DH died 3 years ago. She’s pretty pitiful being sick and by herself and not eating. Living on Ensure and yogurt. So going to bring her some Panera soup, chocolate milk and mini 3 musketeers. No family in town but she has a brother living south of here about 2-3 hours drive. However she feeds a small feral cat colony in her neighborhood and refuses to leave her house. 6-8 of them actually come in her house when no one else is there but her. I call her Daisy Doolittle lol

That’s about it for me today. Hoping to get back to working on my Christmas cards tomorrow. Sons here for dinner Thursday. I live La vida loca for sure.

Have a productive Tuesday.

SUPER sweet of you to check in on your friend and bring her some things, Charleneanne! 😊
Have fun making those cards, too! 😉
