Adhesive...I'm currently using a type that I got on clearance at Target because I was running low on my favorite kind.  Yeah...it's terrible!  It works great for a while but as soon as it gets gummed up once, it becomes insanely difficult to use the rest of it and it seems to happen about 1/3 of the way in for each refill.  I can't wait to get it used up so I can move onto something else!
