That is actually what I was thinking What a beautiful job he did. Is that a drawer on the bottom?joannie wrote:WOW!!! That's very cool!! Now you need more Washi!!!!
Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 59, 37 and 31) lol. And a proud Grandma to Orahn (7) Sawyer (5) and Mazie (3).
It does have a drawer!!! I will probably put embossing powders and other short items in it. Or if/when the dowels are full, put more washi tapes in it!! LOL!!Charleneanne wrote:wow that is nice. Is the bottom part a drawer that pulls out? Nice dad you have.
I was going to say.....I certainly don't have the amount Mildred has...but it's a start! LOL!!! It is a drawer at the bottom!mgehrke wrote:That is actually what I was thinking What a beautiful job he did. Is that a drawer on the bottom?joannie wrote:WOW!!! That's very cool!! I wish mine could build stuff, too!! I would actually really enjoy a woodworking class...I should look into it. I work with wood all day long...as I do hardwood floors (I work with my father) but I couldn't build a box and have it be square and level to save my life! LOL!!!!!!!!!redsonic20 wrote:That's pretty neat. I'd love a hubby that could build something, or do electrical, or do a lot of things, but he does a lot with what he does possess, so I can't be too upset, lol. I hope you enjoy it.
I like it! I could use something like that for sure. Your dad is talented. My son took woodshop in high school for three years. He built my coffee table, end table and a tv stand. He was really good at it. I had hoped he would follow that line of work after school but he didnt' . I wish I had the tools here and I would have him try to build me something.

Awesome! A friend of mine from high school had a dad that could do amazing wood work, but he never finished projects for his family, lol.

Sweet deal! My dad was super handy, too. I still have a desk he made me 28 years ago. It's not a looker, but it's precious to me, even more now that he is no longer with us!
Love your washi holder. Maybe you can share a pic of your paper holder he made you?

That is awesome! it would be great for ribbon too! And the drawer would be great for scissors...you wouldn't have to wonder where they were when you need them! Way to go dad!!!
I wish my hubby would build things. It's awesome! Enjoy.
what an awesome thing he did for you!

your dad could make a fortune doing craft storage items. Congratsmeljustcole wrote:Yeah. He's great! I have many pieces that he's made for me. We made an entertainment center together. He made my son's bunkbed. He made our kitchen table. He also made me a cabinet where I keep all my patterned paper! AND I have 2 hutches he made when he was in high school. He's the best!blbabe1234 wrote:Wow! How awesome for you! That's a really sweet thing that he did for you.
