Are you sure nobody picked them up and put them somewhere else?
My son's friend almost got his head chewed off by me last weekend when I came home and found my tape runner on the balcony and a strip of tape running along my son's bedroom door! I almost blew a gasket! I don't the kid will ever pick up ANYTHING in our house again without asking!
And what was funny... my son said, "I told you dude.... nobody messes with my mom's scrapping supplies!"

Check the trash can sometimes they get knocked off. That's where I found my glue this A.M. thanks to the cats. Check the cat sometimes they stick to them. Lastly check your son's closet. Your dd may have stuck them to things in there.
