I have two Fiskars trimmers. A smaller one, and the Deluxe Scrapbooking one.

I have the Creative Memories 12" with the swing out ruler-- no complaints. I don't have to change blades very often and I'm used to it, how it works etc, I'm sure it's not the best out there but I probably won't change.

I love my Making Memories - but it's huge and heavy.

I also find that the printed markings are fading........

Re: Tools of the trade (Paper Trimmers)
I use the new Fiskar portable one, not the gray and orange one. It cuts straight and I measure everything with a metal ruler anyway so I just mark and cut. I love it bunches.

Re: Tools of the trade (Paper Trimmers)
I have the one that was advertised on tv. Don't know the name, it came with 4 blades and is lighted. It works ok, sometimes if I use cardstock or on some photos it won't cut all the way through. I don't really use the "shaped" blades.
